Fix for the mouse problems
Ok there are a few bugs that iv heard about but only one has actually effected me and that is the mouse acceleration problems now my guess is much like MW3 it's a polling rate problem, my Razer Naga is set to 125 so if anybody finds a fix let me know. And on another note of the feedback from people about this game, why all the hate?. It's being called a CoD clone well every gun game that comes out is called a CoD clone by these pathetic 12 year old's, all i see is a 007 game that has been published by the same company that does CoD. And to call another game a CoD clone may be the most stereotypical/hypocritical thing iv ever heard giving the fact that CoD clones itself every game they make AND CoD is not the first game to have a gun in it.

All i see is another 007 game (not as good as ones before it) that has been published by Activision that's all.

Fact is...you can't make a technical FPS they will all come out as a point and click shoot em up because that's all there is to it.

It's not a polling issue, it's just poorling implemented mouse support.

The way that it's implemented means that moving the mouse is essentially manipulating a virtual joystick, leading to the crazy accelleration issues and "8 way movement" feel.

If anything, every first person shooter ever is a 007 Goldeneye clone. For those of us old enough to remember, Goldeneye was one the first massively popular multiplayer shooters. Of course there was Id games, but there's are different and obviously haven't withstood the test of time.

I can't figure out how to get the Xim3 to work with the PC. Oh well, did you go in adjust your HUD before you played the game? If you did try setting it back to default, it may help with your mouse problems. It helped with mine, but, didn't fix it entirely. The game is much more playable now. I should point out, that I cranked up the DPI on my mouse and turned the sensitivity down in game. That was the best way I could find to deal with it. I have a Logitech G9x mouse, 5700 DPI max or something like that. I also tracked down the config file, unless you're good with a hex editor, we're screwed until somebody figures that out. Widescreen gaming forum usually has this stuff under control, with mods available within a few days of release but they're down for maintenance right now unfortunately. Keep an eye on that site once they get back up and running, I'm sure they'll come up with something.

I'm thankful that I'm old enough to remember Goldeneye and the countless sleepovers, latenights and 4 player splitscreen and of course the arguments, and i even remember wolfenstien 3D although i did play doom more. Anyway i will try the HUD thing but I'm more mods will be out soon but thanks for the feedback.

the mouse acceleration makes the game almost unplayable..

Becuase you shoot a gun, wow unavoidable.

Or maybe because it's actually running on the first CoD ENGINE!!! God, people need to get real. And ftr the mouse acceleration has everything to do with overlay emulation. In which case there virtually is none. So good luck applying your fix that will never work in your lifetime.

Has anyone found any fixes for the mouse issues?
Hoddy_457 Oct 14, 2014 @ 7:05am
yes, but not sure if it'll work for anyone else.

what i did was put my mouse to it's highest dpi and set the polling rate to 1000hz and apply the MarkC mouse acceleration tweak;

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Mouse]

"MouseSensitivity"="10"
"SmoothMouseXCurve"=hex:\
00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,\
C0,CC,0C,00,00,00,00,00,\
80,99,19,00,00,00,00,00,\
40,66,26,00,00,00,00,00,\
00,33,33,00,00,00,00,00
"SmoothMouseYCurve"=hex:\
00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,\
00,00,38,00,00,00,00,00,\
00,00,70,00,00,00,00,00,\
00,00,A8,00,00,00,00,00,\
00,00,E0,00,00,00,00,00

[HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Control Panel\Mouse]

"MouseSpeed"="0"
"MouseThreshold1"="0"
"MouseThreshold2"="0"

paste the above in a txt file and save as ANYTHING.reg and click it.

i use these settings for everything, just happens to work great with legends, hardly notices the dodgy movement. I got to the ice hotel level with no bother.

guess it depends on your mouse, mine is a logitech g300.

Please excuse my ignorance here: But before I try this, what exactly is it doing? Is there an easy way to undo this registry change afterward? (maybe backing up the registry beforehand with CCleaner and running the .reg file to switch back- would that work?)

I already know I can set my mouse to 1000hz, I have a logitech G700s so I can also do that with the Logitech gaming software. I'd just like to know more about the above tweak before rewiring the registry :conwayshrug:

I set the look sensitivity to lowest possible one ingame & set my mouse CPI to 2500 (Rival 700). I had my polling rate at 1000 as well.

That's the closest thing to raw mouse input in this game. Still pretty bad but acutally very mangeable.

I just picked this up, I'll give that a try.
