Troubleshooting
Sometimes it happens that users may experience problems with running the game. Here are a few things to try..

Minimum system requirements
Please first check that the game satisfies the minimum system requirements:
OS: Windows® 8 64-bit or later
Processor: Intel® Core™ i5 8500 / AMD Ryzen 5 3600X
Memory: 16 GB RAM
Graphics: NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 1050 / AMD Radeon RX 5600
Storage: 25 GB available space
Additional Notes: Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system

If your PC is below or close to the minimum system requirements, then you can try to adjust down the screen resolution. Lower screen resolution uses less RAM, CPU and GPU.

Antivirus
Antivirus software have been known to react with false positives. Try to turn off your antivirus software. (Remember to turn it on again afterwards.)

Steam problems
Problems can occur with Steam:

Steam account
Make sure that you are running the game with the same Steam account that you used to purchase the game. Belt Colony has Steam DRM checking. You can see the start menu, but not start the main game, if using the wrong Steam account.

Send us log files
We would appreciate it if you would send us the log files. They are stored here:
C:\Users\(username)\AppData\LocalLow\GridSky Software AS\Belt Colony\Player.log
C:\Users\(username)\AppData\LocalLow\GridSky Software AS\Belt Colony\Player-prev.log

Please also send information about your PC. One way to do that is to run DxDiag.exe (it is included with Windows), click "Save all information", and send us the txt-file.

You can send us the files by e-mail to pr1 (at) gridsky (dot) com.

On Windows Vista and Windows 7, to make the AppData folder visible in Windows Explorer go to Tools > Folder Options > View (tab). The Tools menu is hidden by default. Press the Alt key once to display it.

On Windows 10, to make the AppData folder visible in Windows Explorer go to View > Show/hide and enable the Hidden items option.
