Anybody else noticed how in the first game, it's implied that the "real world" is "the dream", and when people die, they go "to the other side of the dream".

But in blasphemous 2, when people die, they go "to that terrible dream, where one never wakes", implying that the afterlife is the dream.

I believe it's a philosophical representation of death and life after death in games and there's no straight connection with lore, like B1 was the dream. "Go to the other side of the dream" means we wake up elsewhere when we die "here", and our life just a dream.

2nd game took it more straight: when we die, we fall asleep forever.
