[Request] Option to return to menu after level complete
It'd be great if we had an option to return to main menu (or at least level select menu) after completing a level. Currently only "continue" is available and that jumps to next level. This is VERY annoying when you're trying to complete just one specific level (e.g. for achies) as you have to wait until next level loads, then quit, then start again.

Even better, on top of "return" a "restart" option would be AMAZING!

The restart button is at the bottom of the pause menu. It's not on top so that people don't accidentally clear their checkpoint.

As for going back to the selection screen, the feeling was that it broke the flow of the game but how do other people feel about it?

Should we go directly to the next level on level completion (at least after the first time) or back to the selection screen?

When playing through game you definitely made the right choice in just flowing forward.
Spending a lot of time running single level against time makes it pretty annoying though as you cant really be sure you shaved that half the second before jumping to end -- at this point user is taken hostage by results/next level screens. Would definetly be nice to have 'hard exit' button at that stage so you can just hop back into same level.

@SpookyAndrew: Oh, I meant a restart option at the Level Complete summary screen. Currently there's only a Continue button that leads to the next levels. Sorry if I wasn't clear about this.

To illustrate this I'll use Super Meat Boy as an example. When you finish a level there you get several options:
  • A: Next level
  • B: Back to map
  • X: Save Replay
  • Y: Replay Level
saving replays aside, you get all the relevant options of continuing, returning to menu, and restarting level.

If doing something similar would feel too close to a blatant copy-paste of ideas and/or would not fit into the general aesthetics/design of TBP you could at least add more buttons. Keep continue where it is, a rather obvious and easy to spot location -- keeps user focus on progressing to next level. At the same time you could add the two options (back/restart) on the other side of the screen, maybe even only in form of icons to keep them less conspicuous.

Better yet, you could keep things as they are during the first clear of a level, and only add those options for the subsequent clears.
