Ask me if I really want to restart level
Damn game! Now the second time I restared the level simply because I missclicked. All progress: Lost! Motivation: Gone! It would be sooooo easy to ask if we really want to lose game progress and restart the level... DAMN IT!

Happened to me once too when I wanted to exit the game in a rush. After I came back to it though the level was way easier than before, as your skill always improves and you're familiar with all the nasty traps. So keep at it, the motivation will come back!
They don't ask if you really want to restart because it is a waste of time, since the restar option was implemented for the sole reason of speedrun/no death blood badge farming
Numerous people have complained about this problem, and it would be pretty easy to fix with an update.
Maybe a little check box thingy in options. Like "Double check restarts? Y/N" or summat
Gave this game another chance yesterday and hey, call me an idiot, I wanted to "save and leave" and restarted again. Why? Because in 99% of all games I play the option at the bottom is "exit" and not "restart".

This is so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ frustrating and as the two above me said: It would be a fast and easy fix to make everybody happy. Devs don't do this, even after a lot of people complained? Greedy and lazy devs!

They're doing things slightly more important than fixing a slight peeve you have with the game. Be patient.

The question is: Why do I even have to ask for this? Why did I need to become frustrated over a game I paid for instead of someone from the devs think about it before selling it?
I prefer it the way it is. The less time it takes to restart after a messed up no-damage / speed-run, the better.
Just don't recklessly mash a button as soon as you open the menu. Take the extra 1 second to make sure you have the right option selected.

Besides, the levels aren't actually that long, they just feel like it when you're starting out.

It takes... 0.01 seconds to restart when you have to confirm with another button press... and hey, this game is stupid enough to ask you if you REALLY want to quit (when it saves at the last checkpoint) but not if you want to waste your effort... that's stupid, isn't it?
True, and I wouldn't have any complaint if I had to either. Just saying, given the choice, I prefer it the way it is.
Put me down for wanting this too. I don't know if I'll be able to back to this game any time soon after losing the progress I did today.
Like already some people said, I'm just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ glad that it didn't asked me on my numerous speed and iron runs :happymeat:
I would wonder how many people are those "speed run" guys and how many would be happy to finish the game (and uninstalled the game because of that).
The difference between tapping for an option and double tapping for an option and its confirmation should not be something that interferes with speedruns. Your muscle memory should take care of the difference in timing to be nearly nonexistant. I think this is an incredible stretch to justify something being clunkier than it should be.

I'm gonna come in on the side of, "Keep it as is." I, too, restart a lot in score runs and speed runs.

My first inclination is to mock the other side, since what they're saying amounts to, "Feel sorry for me because I made a mistake," but I'll confine myself to this.
