Gamepad not detected
I used to play this game with my logitech gamepad, and everything was fine. But today, my favorite pad gave up on life and I had to find another one, a Tech Mobility gamepad.

This one seems to be correctly installed, I tried with Street Fighter, but They Bleed Pixels can't detect it and I don't understand.

Could the community please help me ?

Try switching input mod of yourpad. I'm using logitech f710 wireless pad, and it works fine with this game at xinput mod.

Good idea, but no dice. This pad is so old it doesn't have a switch for changing mod.

My guess is that your new (old?) gamepad is direct input. The current version of TBP only supports XInput. Your best solution would probably be something like Joy2Key I know there are others as well - you can find them in older threads. The rewrite should take care of this.

Let me knowif this works.

And it works, thank you very much! My new (old) Gamepad is not detected by the game, sure, but keymapping allows me to use it without issues.
The only thing is that I have to use 2 different sets of buttons for navigating the menu (confirm/back) and playing the game (attacking/jumping), but I don't really care.

Oddly enough, same here ... in the process of fxing as i write this :)

Please keep me informed if it's corrected, so I can do a better keymapping for this pad. :) Anyway thank you for your time.

So, just to be clear, you'd prefer if the confirm/back buttons mapped to attack/jump - is that correct? ... here is where the problem comes in - in some cases the 'a' and 'b' buttons (on the xbox controller for eg.) are understood to be confirm/back and what should i do with the 'other' button (l-shift or 'y' i think) if it is used for attack or jump? how do i choose a substitute?

Let me know what you think.

When I used my Logitech pad, the confirm/back and jump/attack where the same ones, and on this one they are not. It comes from the keymapping: you can't link a pad button to more than one key, and the keyboard version of TBP use space/esc for confirm/back and z/x for jump/attack.
Related to this observation, with a gamepad you can press start for opening the menu, with a keymapping the menu button is whatever button you mapped as "back".

Of course, you can redefine the controls in the options and fudge a little this observation.

I see, hmmm, need to think about this. Thank you.
