but going back to this game I noticed more leaders in the GOP to gravitate around toward election, which is where the short list DNC candidate becomes a problem which primaries would fix and widely expand the game.
Looking at 2012 line up there are many more Republican's and that is missing people like McCain or Jindal. Thinking ahead to 2016 (not endorsing) one could imagine a GOP field consisting of Rand Paul, Chris Christie, Mike Kelly, Ted Cruz, Mike Lee, Scott Walker, Jeb Bush just to name potential candidates that have been seriously talked about in the media and not in the 2012 eddition of the game. When I go back playing this game thinking of 2016 it's basically Clinton/Biden.. I created Elizabeth Warren just for doomsday election against Bachmann or Maddow but no one serious comes to mind... Rahm Emanuel? ♥♥♥♥ Durbin and Anthony Weiner should make the next game.
Well....she did say this which is close enough :-P http://youtu.be/JXL86v8NoGk
I'm not a democrat but if I had to vote democrat one of the few guys I'd support is Ron Wyden for his views on privacy and mandatory minimums. Hillary Clinton ruined herself by backing Obama too much, she should have stayed closer to her husband. Elizabeth Warren is effectively insane, but she gets a lot of intellectual Keynesians to back her so she appears smart. Biden will have to ride off of Obama and yesterday China's Teasury downgraded the US Treasury. The president claimed that raising the debt ceiling was not the same as going into more debt, but the Treasury borrowed $300bil. So, Pres Obama gave the more austere republicans more talking points for three months from now. Biden will have a lot of trouble proving he's an effective leader. Most of the media doesnt cover the really poor economic news like when the unemployment numbers are revised a week after they are released. Nothing about our economy is looking very good so Biden is dependent on the ACA to make the administration look good. The nomination will probably go to Hillary Clinton, but she has already seen a huge hicup with the director of her documentary backing out since he couldn't find any to interview on the record. If anyone has seen her speaches since she left the State Dept and seen how much her foreign policy sounds like John McCain's would be you wouldnt' want her to be president.
I kick ass as a libertarian republican. You just have to know what to talk about, where. And getting Ohio, Florida, Michigan and Pennsylvania early as a Republican nearly guarantees your victory.
It's hard to use the term 'intellectual' and 'keynesian' in the same sentence :P
