Did anyone else try to help the replica soldier being attacked by the invisible demons?

in interval 5 you come across a soldier who is being attacked by multiple invisible demon things, when i saw him i immediatly ran over and killed the demons, but he ended up dying in the end because a demon that i didint see killed him, did anyone else try to save him?

Personally I let my enemies fight it out first and I kill the weakened survivors afterwards. Makes the job so much easier.

Just got to this scene. Figured I would be helpful so I lent the Replica's one of my grenades.

Worked out well for everyone...
Except the Replica's...
And the Freaky little things...

Worked out well for me and that's all that matters.

When I got to that part, I was mainly focusing my attention to the enemy I believed to be the number one threat in the area. Which was the monsters in my personal opinion. Also the AI has a hard time seeing the monsters, making the monsters the winners of the fight with low damage taken. But mainly, because I hated the monsters more than the replica.
