As for Ashimiya, I believe the cleansing made it so that the Rites of Resurrection never existed at all, so Ashimiya/Nejima was never seduced by Yoko to do the rites, and is probably actually reformed in prison. It does still leave a plot hole because Iwai still learned black magic from him and kidnapped/murdered Harue's son anyway. Ayame's origin remained the same because she came from Western black magic, not Rites of Resurrection. Then again, the files kinda mentioned the possibility that Ayame wasn't born from black magic but just happened to be found by Nejima after executing several sacrifices.
After finishing the game, you'll get file 23 which is a thank you message and hoping to see the player in a future Paranormasight game. Hopefully they do get to turn this into a series.
I still remember the character names, though that may change in some weeks/months from now lol
Also Ayame was never actually born of black magic, the detective says it's more likely Nejima was deluded in his grief and that Shino died in childbirth--that child being Ayame. Ashimiya is most definitely her father, at least by blood.
