But I'm having a great time!
Oh crap, it looks like you didn't like two of the main points of the game :(
I'm not sure to really understand what you are saying, could you elaborate on your experience? :)
A crosshair would be nice instead of the basic windows cursor
Unlocked the sword - complety useless - died at mobscamp after wave1
On my old PC (i5 4430 | GTX 680 4GB | 16GB DDR3) this runs bad and my GPU gets hotter than usually, although the grafics are a joke (CPU useage is 20%, GPU 100% lol - limited FPS to 60 - runs mostly around 40 FPS)
this needs optimization, unless this runs WAY better at newer hardware
7th round or so with flamethrower now - still dieing at wave 2 because cant stop the tornados (they dont take damage at all)- this is retarded
https://store.steampowered.com/app/2218400/Greedland/
screen full of enemies with MUCH better grafics gives 30 fps in that game
this here is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ JOKE performancewise
Hello there! Thank you for your feedback, I'm the developper of Kritter.
About the tornadoes, you have to kill the mages that are spawning them. Their range is too high, that's for sure and will be reduced in the next update.
You're right about the crosshair. It's in my ToDo list for a year now :D
The Defender role is harder to play as it is a melee character but its scarecrow utility can take aggro and avoid you from being hit. It's still the weakest of the three and will be improved in next update as well.
That's really interesting to see the game runs at 40 FPS with your hardware. The game is absolutely not optimized for now, and just by disabling the day / night cycle, you would have at least 40% more FPS. I'm making the game on a 9 year old hardware (with a GTX970) and the game usually runs at 100 FPS. Thank you so much for pointing out how the game perform on your PC, I'll have a nice otpimization session in bit :)
Something that I really hope gets improved upon are the audio levels. Hitting a whole bunch of enemies at once with the melee class is painfully loud, and Mark's explosion/temporal reset upon defeat was so loud it jumpscared me a bit the first time.
There's some jank concerning dashing (in general) and the special attack of the melee class when it comes to vertical structures. You can not only dash down from the scaffoldings with a chest on top (as one might expect), but also to the top of it, bypassing the entire dash platforming part. And when using the special attack from the melee class I managed to stand in mid-air, all you need to do is use the ability from up there towards any open space and then not move, you'll just stand there indefinitely and can watch the blobs twist their non-existent necks trying to look above them while they crowd below you. Using the ability 2 more times after that I managed to go below the map for a bit, but I didn't drop down into the void or anything the one time I tried this out. I think the same works when standing on top of Mark and using that ability, I assume any kind of elevation will do this.
Something small-ish concering upgrades: You can still get upgrades for selection for your main attack and your 2 skills after they have been maxed. So at worst you don't realize that something is already maxed and completely waste that upgrade choice or, at best, you do realize it and have one completely useless choice offered to you.
I like how pretty much every single attack/skill upgrade feels very powerful, but I don't like thinking about how snowball-y it might make most rounds. Getting 1 or even 2 upgrades for a high damage skill or the main attack early on makes it possible to clear 2-3 camps within that 1 minute between waves which in turn gives you even more upgrades, making everything even easier yet again. I hope that the content in the full version will have a good baseline difficulty each round that doesn't feel too one-sided in either direction based on what upgrades you got early on in the round.
Some feedbacks:
Preparation area seems unnecessary and empty for now.
I want to see more interactable, breakable objects around the world.
Chest reward selection should pause the game in single player.
Area seems big enough but there is so little time between waves to explore.
I played like 20 minutes and got the blue screen, then checked the temps after restarting and saw cpu was around 90 C degrees. And when I try to open the game now, it is stuck on the loading screen with more than %90 gpu usage. Checking file integrity didn't fix it and I don't want to downloaded it again for now. You're probably aware of the optimization issue but wanted to share my experience as well.
My gpu is Nvidia Gtx 1060 and cpu is intel i7-7700hq.
I will definitely check it out again in the future, good luck.
Trying to avoid being damaged is hard though, im dying way to fast and to sudden.
Im feeling weak in this game - thats not fun
Radar upgrade could be a bit better imo, the red arrows at screenedge can easily be overseen
