I don't get why people are so angry
Just to set something clear, this game has not been out long(1-2days), the developer does have a life outside of this game and you guys should give him a chance.

I bought this game a long time ago, I played it when ever I could. Back then it had barely anything to do, but as the datarealms forum's community started to release mods and other maps and missions, it became awesome. The mods that people realeased really changed how i thought about the game. Mods are still being made and updated by the community, even I have had my go at making some mods. Putting mods into the game is a matter of copy and paste, but it can sometimes crash due to conflicting files. I have read people thoughts about the game, and feel sorry for the developer. He made it himself, through a labour of love and his passion finally created this great game. I must admit that there can be some major improvements to the game, some of these could include: Online Multiplayer, Race and Weapon Balancing (As some weapons are too strong( Techion) for a little price), More missions and maps, an easy mod creator within the game. These are just some of the many ideas I can see possible for Cortex Command. I wish that Steam's community could put aside their hatred and their complaints and work towards a group effort to build this game up to be worth the game's price.

Regards, hkyarrie

If you go look at any game's hub on steam, especially newly released ones, it's all just hate and rage.

The reason is that 90% of steam users are severe impulse buyers, so they impulse buy, don't like the game, and immediately go ♥♥♥♥♥ about it all over the internet.

thank you. people don't realize that being negative and vitriolic directly makes me NOT want to work hard to improve the game for them. Positive, constructive, and at least minimally polite feedback is what motivates me and the rest of the team to make the game all that it can be

People are angry because when we buy a game we expect certain features to work e.g. fullscreen, being able to read the font, working mouse input, etc. This game might be a labour of love for the dev. But, if these basics aren't done (properly) then any ire given is ire earned.

Personally, I think if they haven't played the game for more than a week, they shouldn't say anything. CC takes time to learn and appreciate. Going in, getting buttraped in the tutorial, and then degrading the game's public image is neither helpful nor appreciated.

The reason is very simple and clear - On the store page, there is no talk of the game being incomplete. Then when you run it, it says it is.

Make sure the store page reflects the state of the game, and the complaints will drop markedly.

Are you going to take your ball and go home too?

Seriously, grow up. This isn't a playground, it's the real world. If you publish an incomplete product that isn't even capable of running fullscreen without crashing nor properly scaling the damn font (!) then you should expect people to get pissy for paying through the nose for that "experience."

my major quip about this is its waaaaay to user unfriendly. i started the tutorial thinking "oh this should be easy its just the tutorial level" and as unprepared as i was for ninja gaiden i got my ass kicked. now it wasnt until later i relized i can buy new troops and that thats the only way to beat it seeing as they give you 3 guys and 2 weapons that really arnt that great. now the next thing is that when i started up a campaign i thought to myself "ok maybe that was just a small mistake on the developers part now how do i deploy...." i then proceeded to start up 5 diffrent campaigns because the computer was deploying and i couldnt. what the hell? i had to go to the forums THE FORUMS!!! not a in game manual to figure out, oh i have to spend money for a attack. where the hell in the game am i suppose to figure that out. now i may have missed something while playing it since i have to use windowed mode for it and i have to squint to play this but maybe a manual would be nice. lastly i just pointed this out i dont know whats up with with the fullscreen bug but fix it i would enjoy this game more but it froze when i felt like a commando leading 4 soldiers into a bunker to kill their leader.

i believe you just experience error 40.
being an idiot to not see the solution for fullscreen, you can read the text just fine.
this game has come a long way from where is started but people like you simply don't see that. why should he update the game for costumers which clearly does not want the game to work right. being a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ is the main problem here and data is not the one. So are you going to discuss properly or do you really need to include your pathetic comment like above?

not only should you buy my half baked piece of trash of a game, allowing my 11 year unemployment streak to continue, but you ALSO have to be nice to me. that way i'll be motivated to do something i should have done several years ago!!
you are literally the definition of a bad indie developer
And this is a definition of not understanding the sarcasm.

I think some bugs are from going places you dont belong and others are way too easy to see like im not able to activeate the command screen or someone cant do full screen ( I can through) hopefully he will do a bug fix soon or this game will just continue going down hill
skull037 30 set. 2012 às 8:25
plus I think some people LOOK for bugs because they hate the game

Probably they're just disgrunted and now just want to show the world how bad this game is.
Still hopefully they report those bugs, not just whine about them. That would be more constructive.

Yes, it's Tleno, thank you for noticying! ^^

Sure, why not... but you'll be the one taking care of them!

Mr. Mom is a good movie! I'ma go pretend to be productive now. (Mucha like Data? Wakka wakka!) Just kidding though, mostly. Like i said before, my gripe isnt with the game or even the drawn out development time, but datas attitude on this forum. Mostly, im just mad cuz i wanted this game but cant get it now cuz it would mean giving him $. and i dont pirate, so im boned. Good day everyone, and ya know we should all try to be a bit more civil around here anyway
