I have a problem

everytime I launch the game it crashes and tells me "Failed to load datafile object with following path name: Base.rte/scenes/objects/bunkermodules/teleport.wav". Now, I tried to find this data file and it wasn't even there. So the first thing I did was uninstall all my mods, that didnt work. then I reinstalled the game, that didnt work. finally I tried what steam support told me and that was to verify game cache files and that hasn't worked please help me!!!!

Hmmm... weird... have you tryed isntalling anduninstalling the game? Seems that you're really just missing a sound file...

yep I've tried that, Also when it's at the loading screen it gets all the way to the teleport.ini.

Okay I have a theoretical homebrewn solution. Find any other .wav music file, you can use ones ingame, pick whatever more sounds like teleport, put it into that folder and rename to teleport.wav.

It didn't work. I really think it's an .ini problem, and i do really appreciate the help

There's no teleport.ini in 1.05 so it's probably previous installation or something like that. Try to delete Cortex Command folder and reinstall the game. Where's your Steam folder located?

Like i said before reinstalling it does nothing... and its a .wav or sound file

it was a mod problem just, if you have anymods just uninstall them.

thanx, i figured it out. jus had to set the right paths for the errors. the command was looking for the file in the wrong place. teleport wav file was set to Base.rte/scenes/objects/bunkermodules/teleport.wav and i think it was actually Base.rte/scenes/objects/bunkers/bunkermodules/teleport.wav or something like that.

well it all started for me when i downloaded a mod pack and it was having some map trouble so i deleted the maps from the mod files so it continues so then i deleted the WHOLE mod pack and now it says
:RTE Aborted! (x_x)

Failed to load datafile object with following path and name:

Base.rte/Scenes/Objects/Bunkers/BunkerSystems/TeleporterA000

The last frame has been dumped to 'abortscreen.bmp'

You can copy this message with Ctryl+C

but now it is Teleporter.wav at the end....
