decrypt block3 annoyance

So I just got asked by *Hyun-ae to decrypt block3. I went in to the command line but couldn't get it to work. Quit back to *Hyun-ae where she asked me if there was a problem, and my only choices were to say yes or tell her I'd unlocked it. After saying yes and going back into the command line I realized it wanted me to type "decrypt block3" instead of "decrypt_block3" like apparently every other command line. Now it decrypted the block and I got the cheevo but *Hyun-ae has nothing to say about the block and I can't read anything in it.

Did I screw up the flags and render the block lost, or is this just really unintuitive?

Seems a little wierd. You have already entered the admin password I assume. Using the "su" command.

Yeah. I've since restarted the game and ♥♥♥♥♥♥ back to this point though, lol.

When you decrypted the block, did you speak to *Hyun-ae right after ?

Yes. She didn't say anything, but I was able to read what was in Block 3 the second time around.

I'm having exactly this problem. She asked me to decrypt block3, then asked me if I'd done it. I said no. I went back the command prompt and decrypted it. But I also messed with the power (disabling some stuff and then re-enabling everything), and I enabled the other AI but it only showed me the Smith family tree. Then I re-enabled Hyun-ae. Now block3 won't show up. I'm not going to bother restarting the game and trying a different sequence because it doesn't seem that interesting.

decrypt is a command, block3 is the argument. it's not a hard concept. decrypt_block3 would imply that block3 is the only block which the system can encrypt, which obviously wouldn't be the case.

Coldflame the OP said they realised that already, and the problem everyone's having is that they successfully use the decrypt command but block3 just won't appear in the logs. It's a game killing bug. And it's not a very complex game so it's rather unforgivable.

It's already late to give an answer but I'm doing it anyways for people like me who are just playing the game and ended here. You just need to disable_ai first. After that you can decrypt block3. Pretty stupid and annoying. Fixed.

I'm stuck at this point. I go to the command terminal, even disabled_ai, but it wont let me decrypt block 3, what am i doing wrong? it says admin access required! please use su first

Try to input the command as shown in the other comment. with caps. and no space between the words blocn and 3: Decrypt block3 . If not, try to make sure you reached that part of the game, if you do it earlier it wont work. If nothing works I can't help anymore, I really forgot how to play that game already.

seems i got it working, needed to do the password, seems like it worked, but having the same problem dire sloth mentioned. I should figure it out soon

I just completed the game without ever decrypting block3 successfully (I ran the command just before the end of the game, and the block didn't appear). I didn't run the command when it was first mentioned, and then said no when Hyun-ae asked if I had.

So this is not a game breaking bug, just keep showing logs to Hyun-ae. The game will move on.

Once you punch in the admin code with su.
You will get a registry repair prompt click y for yes on keybord.
Then it brings up hyun and mute as loadable ai's
At that moment I imputed
Decrypt, space bar once, and block3 as one word . no under scores needed ok and it works.
