Windows 8, Will this game work on it?

I am tired og buying games and then they do not work on windows 8. I am tried of windows 8. Does this gmae work on Windows 8? I want to know before I buy it.

I had to set it on compatibility mode before it would start up, but yeah, it works mostly fine for me on Windows 8.

Why would anyone willing run Win8, knowing that it still has compatibility problems with a lot of more recent games. Just roll back to Win7.. More games, less tablet UI.

Not bringing down WIndows 8, but I have found a few games that didn't work right off the back for W8.

But, I blame that on horrible PC ports.

With that being said, The Witcher Enhanced Edition works great under Windows 8.

I am actually on Act IV for my first playthrough, with a good amount of mods and changes, mainly visual.

I doubt I will replay this game for the simple fact that it is a fairly lengthy games in comparison to the type of games I play, mainly FPS!

But I seriously can't wait to finally get into The Witcher 2.

try The Witcher demo before buying game, if demo works then and full game will work

Run the game with "-dontForceMinReqs" as launch parameter.

I had the same issue. I went into my steam library on my computer, found the installer for the game, right clicked it and had windows troubleshoot it. Booted right up after.
