It truly IS fantastic as people say.
The writing is amazing, if you like RPGs, buy it.

Don´t forget to install the community´s unofficial fixes too. However, do you a favor and IGNORE HK-47 Factory, don´t waste your time on that, because it sucks.

TL;DR: I give KOTOR 2 a 4.5/5.0 score.

In all fairness, the HK Factory was an unfinished level.

Further you can still awaken HK-47; the factory option is only triggered by dialouge with him (involving mentioning the Sonic Sensor you picked up at the first world). Don't mention it, and you won't go theory.

I haven't replayed the droid factory level but the first time I tried it a few years ago it was literally impossible, like nobody had ever even play-tested it. I had to set HK's stats to infinity in the save editor just to complete it. Not sure if they've fixed it since then but the restored content mod gets a little too much love based on my experience with it (seriously, nobody play-tested it? WTF.)

I playtested the HK-Factory to death... :/

The game is awesome too bad it is annoying to get it running at 1920x1080 and crashes from time to time :(

I am still having a lot of fun replaying it =)

Well, Hassat Hunter, I wish you had been there with me when some Mario ROM hack person tried to call his work a "restoration mod." If I'd died 3 times, it might be a good example of a notoriously easy game (KOTOR 2) getting a hard bit. If I have to edit HK's stats in the save editor and it still barely helps, you suck balls at game designer.

If I die 35 times, it's like a ROM hack, and it'd be bad. It's not remotely organic content to the game.

Huh? I've played the Droid Factory myself, and it wasn't that difficult. I mean, it wasn't a cakewalk, but it wasn't exactly Mushihime-sama Futari Ultra Mode Last Boss (Look it up on Youtube, and you'll get the joke)

The only hiccup I had in the Droid Factory is where I got a little lost at the end, and I still managed to get it right eventually.

Although, before finishing Nihilus, you might want to make sure you have some superior droid-killing weaponry ready for HK-47 to use. And that he's ready and equipped for taking on droids.
It is an endgame level, so it's to be expected that it would be tricky.

And finally, I'm fairly sure the Droid Factory was going to be in the original game. But it got cut due to time constraints (which also means that there wasn't time to balance it). So, by adding and finishing it, it is a true "restoration" mod.

I don't think you understand I AM "the Mario ROM hack person"... lol.
And no, it's not a problem with the game... :/

I, the original poster, want to say that...

the problem with HK factory was...

Writing, quest design, travel time to do such quests, difficulty, voice-over, graphics, I can not say one thing I liked in that level.

So, you see, I´m not pointing at anyone specifically, I´m pointing at everyone that was involved in the making of the level I played.

TL;DR -> It´s not one person´s fault, it´s just that it was bad. Should have been kept buried in the Cemetery of the Cursed Video Games forever.

That part in the jedi enclave with the three living jedi masters where they explain everything made my jaw drop I had never seen such good writing, I got to that section and got real sad tho caus that meant my journey was almost over and there was so much I hadn't done yet and now couldn't do

Writing and voice-over of the HK factory bad?
It has the most funny stuff in the entire game, and the best line ("You've showed me your meatbag underbellies and told me; HK, shoot me there repeatedly untill I die")...
