[Updated!] Have you ever wanted to make your own achievements?
Heads up folks, this discussion will be FULL of spoilers. If you have not completed this groundbreaking classic, do NOT read this discussion.

One thing that we have learned over the years is the community can be incredibly creative when it comes to achievements. To that end, we'd like to put an open call for ideas on additional achievements to be added into KOTOR II!

First I should should note how most of our achievements work, so as to provide you all some framework. Most of them are implemented in 2 ways:

1. The hook is to a field of text. Something happens in game, and unique text pops up, triggering the achievement.
2. The hook is to actual game logic. Light side points being added at a specific point for example.

In the next couple of weeks, we will be putting together a patch schedule to address most of our remaining nagging issues with the game. If our bandwidth allows, we'd like to include these crowdsourced achievements in that patch.

Obviously we cant PROMISE the achievements make it in, but I wouldnt be posting this if we didnt have the intention to do so.

Currently there are 37 achievements in the game. We'd like to see that list rise to about 50. We will be picking 15 or so from this discussion to be created, implemented, and vetted.

I'll keep this discussion open as long as I can until we need to make a call on the list. Likely a week or so.

We are all ears...or eyes...whatever! Dont forget the name of the achievement is super important too!

UPDATE: We have a confirmed new achievements list! Here are the 20 new achievements, puttiing the final KOTOR II achievements list at 57. See if your achievement made the list!

#1 I hate everything about you - Reduce a companion's Influence to zero.
#2 Unlimited Power - Acquire all Dark Side Powers.
#3 I Am A Jedi - Acquire all Light Side Powers.
#4 Dancing Queen - Dance for Vogga.

#11 Trust Me, I'm a Doctor - Have 30 points in Treat Injury.

#19 Assassination Protocol: Active - Learn how to kill Jedi from HK-47.

Influential - Gain full influence with more than half of your crew members (I would say all, but I have a suspicion that you can't get full influence with all of them. If you can, switch that description to full influence with all)

Grand Master - Convert all force sensitive crew members to Jedi.

The Dark Council - Convert all force sensitive crew members to Dark Jedi. (alternative name Dark Apprentices?)

The Sith Lord - Have your character replace any of the Sith Lords on the main menu screen. (alternative name The Dark Lord?)

I'd also have suggested individual achievements for getting full influence with each crew member, but that would take up a large chunk of the 15 you're looking to add so I'm not sure that's such a good idea. :/

EDITED: Changed a few things around, came up with a new idea.

Oh, quick question, actually: Can we post achievements as we come up with them, or would you rather they all be in one post?

Obviously not to post every second an idea for an achievement comes through, but ya know. Just thought I'd ask.

A More Civilised Age - Acquire every colour of lightsaber.

Galactic Cinemagoer - Unlock all movie cutscenes.

Hokey Religions and Ancient Weapons - Defeat Darth Traya with a blaster

Unlimited Power - Acquire all Dark Side Powers

I Am A Jedi - Acquire all Light Side Powers

Pulling A Bindo - Acquire all Universal Powers

Also, @glsimon , can your character really replace Sion/Nihilus/Traya on the menu screen? I've never seen that before.

We actually got this idea from the fans over in the Fahreneheit: Indigo Prophecy Remastered forums. We launched that game without achievements and they CLEARLY wanted them, so they put their heads together and gave us an amazing list that we are in the process of implementing.

They sort of posted them as they thought of them. Everyone discussed/debated and then a few really helpful folks put them all on a single edited list. That last part is nice, but not needed. I can always simply copy/paste :D

You can! Once you reach a certain amount of dark side points, I'd guess around the 80% margin, you take their place on the menu. :)

Also, is it more than just Nihilus? Damn it, I forgot about that, my achievement needs editing. What's the cause for each one to show up on the menu, even? Is it random?

That's fair enough! I suppose it makes it easier for us, if more difficult for you. :P

Yup, it's if the player is Dark Side during the endgame. Funny trivia, it displays the current 'leader', not the PC exactly. So you can make it appear pretty much everyone you want there, like HK, Mira, Atton and Remote.

Achievements:

"Not a civilised age" - Don't use any lightsabers in the game, ever.

"PI Jedi" - Solve the Batu Rem, Batono, Hold-out Blaster, Missing Telos Ithorian Droid and Dhagon Ghent cases.

"Their passion for droids defies me" - Sell T3-M4.

@glsimon

It's based on your game progress.

At the beginning, Sion is on the screen. When you accumulate enough Light/Dark to trigger Visas, Nihilus replaces him. When Traya is revealed, she replaces Nihilus.

Pulling A Bindo - Beat game being 41-60 on continuum of lightside/darkside.

The New Order - Turn all capable companions into jedi.

That makes more sense. Alright, I'll edit it!

The Sith Lord - Have your character replace any of the Sith Lords on the main menu screen. (alternative name The Dark Lord?)

Trade Negotiations - Find an alternative supply of fuel for Citadel Station.

Fooling the Hutt - Gain access to Vogga the Hutt's treasure room.

It'll always go in the order Sion > Nihilus > Traya/PC so the original discription wasn't wrong :)

Oh so you can't replace Sion at all?

I think I'll keep the new description, though, because you could reach the dark side points required to replace Traya right before Malachor.
