Achievements not triggering? (MacOS version)

I'm 8+ hours into the game and it looks like the Steam achievements aren't triggering the way they're supposed to. I got the first achievement for finishing the starting area, but there are a few other places where I got an "achievement trophy" message in Avernum but nothing unlocked in Steam. I know I've done the prerequisite tasks for e.g. "What's That Thing?" (open a secret door) and "Proper Infrastructure" (Silvar sewer quest boss).

Any ideas? I'm playing on Hard difficulty with no mods and I haven't activated the character editor. I tried uninstalling & reinstalling but it didn't make a difference. MacOS 10.14.6 on a modern macbook with 16GB RAM.

The only achievement not triggering for me so far (Windows 10) is getting the first 5 or 10 caches. I've dug up at least 10 and still don't have it.

Same. I'm going for 100% achievements and just found out that Herbal Master didn't trigger (have 50 potions made) despite having the medal in-game. I really really really hope I didn't waste those numerous hours playing Torment.

This one seems to trigger slightly wonkily, I remember getting mine at around 14 caches.

No problem with the rest of them though.

EDIT: Realized this topic is about Mac. I played it on Windows 7, so it does not count.

As previously mentioned, achievements do NOT work on Mac version of the game but do work perfectly on Windows.

Finally did it. Got all the medals. But none of the achievements triggered. I'm going to have to find a windows computer and hope the achievements will sync with the medals. -_-

I just rebooted my old Windows PC and launched this game. Saves are synced so I could continue where I left off on my Mac. To get the achievements, I needed to load my save file, then within seconds the medals were active and the achievements came in. Only Herbal Master didn't sync.

It seems that the stat that tracks the number of potions you've made isn't part of a save file. I guess it is a global stat that isn't synced when you move to another computer. So I'm farming herbs now to brew potions to get that final achievement.

I've loaded my save on Windows after I got all medals on Mac - all achievements triggered but Alchemies and Foes Slain. It seems that counters for enemies killed and potions made are machine related. Which means in my case - I need to farm 1000 enemies killed after I cleared everything hostile on the map. Anyone has any ideas about how to get this?
