Doom 3/RoE/LM crashing on Windows 8

Having been through all the forums and following the advice of many.. I am still getting crashes once the intro video to each game finishes and the actual game is loaded.

The game wont even start on my Windows 7. It turns grey when i press play and then a blue box pops up saying Error during Initialization. Did you get into the game?

Nope. It loads the intro video of each game (D3,RoE,LM) and then when it loads the actual level it crashes and throws me out of the game.

If you are on AMD and using 13.4 drivers that is why, they broke it.

^Really? Source? I was looking around and couldnt find anything.

same problem here. any confirmation that the 13.4 drivers are the problem?

^ Have you just tested today? I am tempted to try the beta drivers to see if it remedies the problem

I think the beta driver wont resolve the problem, the setup says "AMD display driver is already installed and up to date. ...I played the game before on win7/win8 without problems and with an older driver version installed.

Same. I had it working before 13.4 Driver on Windows 8. So I am alittle lost. We cant be the only folks with issues.

I don't have this problem with my windows 7, but with my windows 8. No, I didn't even get into the game, it says that I have to update all my drives, however, all of my drives are up to date.

No, I'm using Intel.

Intel Graphics? Those are only intergrated. Otherwise if you actually have a GPU it will be either AMD or Nvidia.
