Bought it just for the sake of that. Can't find it in my steam list. Is it included in the 7gb download?

Obviously, when you download Doom 3 BFG Edition, Doom 1 and 2 are included in all the BFG Edition, they are three games in one. for this it doesn't appear in the list of games of steam.
Alright, thanks. For someone who might also search for it, it's avaiable for 8$ at gamesrocket right now. 2 Days more to go.
Can someone tell me if the original DOOM is on Steam, i can't seem to find it ?
doom 1 is called 'ultimate doom'
They removed it after the BFG Edition came to steam for the sake of making MONEY i suppose. You have to buy the BFG Edition if you want Doom 1 legally. The .wad files included can be used with Zandronum or other wrappers. I was able to play Brutal Doom online with it.
Thanks i already have BFG Edition, i wanted the original DOX version of DOOM 1 :)

That would be silly.

I recommend you buy BFG edition if you want to play Doom 1 and Doom 2 in their exact original state with modern hardware benefits. BFG edition will give you more than 35 frames per second all the way up to 120fps. No engine mod comes close to playing vanilla Dooms better.
It also contains the unreleased expansion campaign for Doom 3, Lost Mission, and the unreleased expansion for Doom 2 by Nerve Software.

But you can still buy the DOSBox versions if you only want Doom 1 and Doom 2 to play on engine mods.

Doom 1: http://store.steampowered.com/app/2280/ (Ultimate Doom)
Final Doom: http://store.steampowered.com/app/2290/ (Expansion pack)
Doom 2: http://store.steampowered.com/app/2300/
Master Levels: http://store.steampowered.com/app/9160/ (Expansion pack)

Well, at least in Germany they're blocked, all of them.
@MindLey: Only that Doom 1 and Doom 2 have been altered which might annoy purists:

Taken from the Wikia-Site for Doom.

"The included versions of Doom and Doom II also have some changes:
  • Includes the recently released Doom II eight map expansion "No Rest for The Living".
  • Steam Achievements.
  • Runs at 1080p resolution on consoles.
  • Runs at desktop resolution on PC with minor graphical improvements.
  • Improved, more responsive mouse and keyboard controls.
  • Improved and smoother animations at 120hz.
  • Improved controls for Windows Vista and Windows 7.
  • Improved weapon sound quality and MIDI music quality.
  • Removal of the International Red Cross symbol on medpacks and berserker packs (the Red Cross have been complaining about what they regard as the abuse of this symbol in games). Instead, the pickups bear a red and white medicine capsule.
  • Removal of all Nazi references, including the Swastika, Hitler's portrait, furniture and textures.
  • Map 'Wolfenstein' (map31) and map "Grosse" (map32) have been renamed to "IDKFA" and "Keen" respectively.
  • Changed unit IDs in maps 31 and 32.
  • Changed textures in map 31.
  • Changed music in maps 31 and 32.
  • All cheats have been removed.
  • The "fast monsters" parameter has been modified in the Nightmare skill level. Monsters remain just as aggressive as in the original Nightmare mode, but neither demons nor enemy projectiles travel at increased speed compared to the lower skill levels.
  • The Tower of Babel is no longer shown being progressively built on the intermission screen between levels.
