Original has an older engine. mod enabled, weaker lighting system, natural console, no reward system, no extra mission or doom and doom 2 wads. Plus, ROE is not included, so a lot less gameplay compared.

except the game also allowed you to make more changes video wise, it was darker and you carried a flashlight & textures were not as muddy in the orginal & looks almost exactly the same as the BFG Edition..

That's because they only changed the engine...they didn't fully re-render everything...sure, they probably changed the textures not a full on render change. And, you are right about it being darker...that's because they didn't want to make a strong lightning system to make it live better on jump scares.

they didn't want a game that had enough atomsphare to have to much dark atomsphere? well it sounds like they were trying to make it easier for the casual players especially since the game has controller support, if you compare the original doom 3 with bfg edition there is almost no difference what so ever, also why the f(_)ck does sargent kelly squint did he get sh!t particals in his eyes?

The term "worse" should never be used in relation to any Doom game. The proper term would be "more/slightly less awesome" ;)
I like them both, really. Original looks good and has mod support, BFG looks good and has extra content. A bit too much ammo in BFG, for me, but no biggie. It's quite abundant in Original, as well.

One can never have too much Doom.

Spot on. I bought the original when it came out, the BFG edition on 360, and the Steam version of the BFG edition when it was on sale over Christmas. I ain't complaining.

I will say if you don't like mucking around with mods, go the BFG edition.

Everyone,thanks for your replies!I am a big Doom fan myself,I have played the first two games on my mobile and I loved those,and since that day I am addicted to Doom.And of course,you can never get enough Doom.As I understood,the BFG edition has brighter light and you get scared less and there is more ammo,but it contains all Dooms up to this day and some extra levels for Doom 3.And the original Doom contains a frightful atmosphere,less ammo and the lighting is darker.And maybe the textures look a *bit* better as well.So,I guess I will be going for Doom 3 BFG,but just because it has more ammo and light does that mean that I won't be scared so much?Because I really like games that scare you.And I have heard some rumours about a Doom 4,anyone know something more?

You can equip the light and still hold a weapon in BFG as opposed to either/or in the original.
Not an issue personally, I was the guy who liked that system in the original.
Every once in a while someone fabricates a video and pretends it's a preview of Doom 4 to score youtube views. If anything real happens with it, I expect the internet will explode.

This version of the game is a Pc to Console and BACK to PC port. It's pretty bleh. No mod support. Since it was made for consoles you literally CANT turn off the mic in DM. Lot of other problems.

If you are looking for a longer experience and want the other DOOMs included, this is the version for you.

If you want the original PC version which has mod support and WAY more graphics options, get the other one.

I woulden't say "worse" i would say "not as good" since they removed mod support because eather they or Zenimax don't want this game to be immortal like their classics, which is kinda sad since i was looking forward to a BFG Edition version of Open Co-op which i could play RoE in and the new Lost Mission (which isn't as good as it sounds btw), although this game has had a few improvements like the multiplayer now works through Steam but they removed multiplayer in the classic DooMs so no more co-op unless you get a source port like DooMsday or if you wanna play No Rest For the Living in co-op you have to get the 6th gen console port or the Betrayal DooM 2 secret level (which also should be in normal DooM 2) you have to get the Xbox port.
