DOOM 3 (BFG) on Nightmare- Who has done it?

I am working on it now myself, tense but fun...lol

Real nightmare=doom 3 bfg edition with a 280x crossfire on without enabling vsync...the tearing...oh god the tearing! *cries in corner*

Off topic but I get tearing on RAGE without vsync enabled, once I turn it on the game looks and play smooth/great but here is the weird thing, if I pause the game for too long the vsync turns off and I have to go back into the settings to turn it back on, running a singe MSI - GTX 770 4GB OC Edition

My issue is I'm running 2 60hz tvs and my fps hit up to like 120fps-200fps. In tomb raider on ultras I cappe at 172 the first ultra bench, and doom 3 bfg without vsync I was pushing over 200 fps at a refresh rate of 60hz..each motion the game was tearing so bad near everything went into wire frame mode. XD As for nightmare...ya I tried it. I haven't beaten it on the bfg version though just on the old doom 3.

For me it is just if I use vsync to cap them. a 280x crossfire beat a 780 and a titan in power...in Doom 3 BFG I get over 200 fps if I don't set a frame cap I go into wire frame mode every time I turn.

I would have done it by now... if I hadn't screwed up on the Sabaoth boss going in without the Soul Cube and with that one Revenant I needed to charge it being stuck behind a wall -_-

FYI: Sabaoth is utterly impossible without the cube. Its by far the hardest spot in the game as even his BFG tracer beams kill you in 1-2 seconds flat.

Of course, if anyone knows a trick for Sabaoth that DOES NOT include the Soul Cube or BFG, I'm willing to listen. However, in my 18something years of gaming, this is the hardest boss I have ever seen.

You need the soul cube...you can't beat him without it.

Guess I'm restarting the game then lol Oh well, its a great game and it was actually not as hard as I anticipated (until that point that is). The demons aren't the big issue, its the Zombies with guns!

Ya, they seem oped in this version. But, you need the sc on that boss because he has like a weird armor thing that only get knocked down by it.

UPDATE- I just finished Alpha labs 4 on Nightmare, heading into the EnPro plant.
Having a blast on nightmare so far.

Done it more times than I can remember on nightmare, I even made a full guide on it once on True-achievements on the 360 version of the BFG version but I already done vanilla Doom 3 on PC, on the original Xbox. I would try the BFG PC version but so far too buggy to play.

Even then...I'm using a Razer with 6400 dpi...I end up turning too fast and missing stuff. :/
