Messi as a striker or right winger ?

Hi,

I want to hear your opinion, I have Messi in PSG and bought Cavani as a replacement. But then my right winger was injured for 6 months and I was putting Messi on that position and he had 8.3 avg in 15+ matches. Is it better to have Cavani in front and Messi as a Winger, is that a crime ? :)

I have Pastore , James Rodriguez, and Ganso to play behind striker, so that place is full, LW is C.Ronaldo or Bale , PSG has much money on start of every season which gives me "positive" headaches, I need good replacement for Messi on RW, and good replacement for Cavani, I'm in 2018/2019 season. I play 4-2-3-1 , 4 defenders - 2 DMC - 3 AML,AMC,AMR and 1 ST

Angel di maria, Gotze, Leandro Paredes, shaqiri (maybe isco), Jack wilshere, Iker munain , Draxler or wellington nem. anyone of those players should work.

It would be waste to sell Cavani, Messi is old and will be useless soon, and Cavani will be in best years

Only as Inside Forward, or Advanced Playmaker on support, I don't see Messi as a Winger

Agree with Dan. As an out-and-out winger, Messi isn't going to be too great on the outside, since his right foot isn't very strong and he'd be using it to cross a lot. Inside Forward would be a great role for him, particularly if your striker drops deep. I'd also add that as he ages, his pace is going to drop but his technicals and mentals will remain high, which means he will be better suited for a role in the middle rather than out wide. In particular, he'll be better as a playmaking AMC of some sort, rather than a wide player or a striker, where his inability to burn his man will limit him somewhat. Also, how on earth did you get Ronaldo and Messi?
