Controller support?
Will there be future support for controller? I'd love to play this game on a stick :)

Joytokey.
i agree. native controller support would be a nice addition.
You could always use XPadder if you have a 360 controller or MotioninJoy for PS3 :P or Pinnacle Game Profiler for any controller(I think). :)
I had this game ready to buy until I checked for controller support. Not going to get it until it is added in natively, especially with Big Picture mode now being available. I want this game on my 1080P 50" TV along with my collection of 1,000s of songs that I can enjoy from the couch. Bring that and I will buy it ASAP. :)
Good luck moving fast enough to dodge everything without a mouse at high sensitivity!
they have a suggestions thread on the old forums. controller support is fairly high on their list of things to do.
Would analogue control work well? I have doubts.
There's software out there that allows controllers to 'macro' keyboard keys, surely? It sounds like something that would exist.
I purchased this game assuming there was controller support. Yes I admit it is entirely my fault that I did not read the product description carefully enough... but I am disappointed nonetheless. :( I sincerely hope the devs care enough to patch it in.
Why The Hell do you need a controller for this game? It would be nice to use the Xbox Triggers instead of the mouse buttons but the mouse does more then enough job alone
+1 to the controller. I agree, the mouse is probably a better solution, but I just started building a HTPC with Steam's Big Picture. I don't really want to use the couch cushions as a mouse pad :)
After playing the game for awhile I can see how it would be difficult to implement controller support. The game's pace moves so quickly that it is best suited for a mouse's sensitivity.
Hi everyone!
Yes some of you hit it on the head; the reason we went with mouse-only was because it provided very fast and precise movement that cannot be matched by a controller. We felt it wouldn't be fair to include an option to use the controller that would put players at a disadvantage. (I thought if we did we would get a lot of "Why include the option to use a controller when it is so much harder!!")

If we were to do a console version, we would adjust the gameplay to accommodate controller-style movement, but for now I think we will have to stick with the mouse!

Thanks,

The mouse is prefectly fine and really isn't too much to gripe about, but sometimes it'd just be nice to sit back with your gamepad/joystick and enjoy the music. Maybe in the future if controller support IS enabled or detected it could be set to "will not be ranked", mainly for players who are competitive who play with the mouse.

Either way thanks for the input, its nice to see that someone is listening :).

You can change the mouse sensitivity in the settings. I've raised mine to about 130.

And I like using my controller because I don't really have the space for using a mouse and using a trackpad is not convenient.
