Cubemen 2 - Beta testing is Closed
So as many of you may have already heard, we have been working really hard for a while on the next version of Cubemen, aptly named Cubemen 2. We have a dev site setup that we are posting videos and screenshots on - and will be adding more info over time as we draw closer to our internal release date.

So, we are looking for beta testers from our Cubemen 1 community for a private beta test period, to help us stomp out whatever bugs we have left and offer us some feedback about new features, gameplay, level building//publishing and look and feel.

Private Testing is only for existing CM1 Steam customers. Please read the rest carefully.

As a tester, you will be given a temp beta key for access to CM2 betas, and when CM2 ships, if you were active in our testing process you will be given a complimentary key for the released version.

If you are interested in helping out, please contact us directly with your full name, accessible email address, a link to your community profile page and the subject line "CM2 testing", via our Cubemen 1 contact form at

This testing period will be a closed/private one, and all access and information will be strictly confidential. We ask that all testers, if accepted, respect our need for confidentiality during this phase.

If anyone has any questions about CM2, please feel free to post them here, and we will answer what we can.

What a great way to get the sequel to the popular Cubemen for FREE! I'm sure Cubemen 2 will have a lot of the features requested by the community that could not be added to Cubemen due to the code design and limitations. I hope to see all those who have been active in the Cubemen community to join the closed beta and share your new experience, opinions, and most importantly any issues you find. Lets help SeonR to make a better Cubemen 2 while stretching further the little money we spent on Cubemen. I signed up!

Awesome. Happy to have both of you on board. And thanks to everyone else that has contacted us already. Numbers are still quite low, so hopefully by early next week when we start, we will have more testers involved.

Just to be clear, as we have had a few offline enquiries... Cubemen 2 is not a free update for the current Cubemen game, but a brand new game that will be sold separately.

just a question, will cubemen 2 have a workshop for the themes and character skins 'cause that would be a really nice addition to the game.
SeonR  [developer] Feb 23, 2013 @ 2:13am
No, just like in Cubemen 1, Cubemen 2 is cross platform and workshop doesn't work on iOS, Mac App Store and Android.

Cool, the more platforms the better :-)

what will you be looking for when we test? will there be a questonaire? also is there a suggestions thread for what we would like to see in cubeman 2?
SeonR  [developer] Feb 24, 2013 @ 12:11pm
How testing will work will all be covered with the testers once the beta starts. In terms of suggestions for CM2, well of course we want to hear what people would like to see in future updates, but we are not looking for that until after people know what we have already done :-)

Typically the BETA phase of software means the software is feature or functionally complete. No more features are planned for the public release and whats left to do is bug fixing and reducing the impact of potential bugs on the public. Yes, beta testers are free to enter suggestions or opinion bugs. If a bug entry is a call for a new feature or change in functionality, the formal review process will determine whether the feature or change will be implemented now or put off for the next major release, in this case Cubemen 3. A beta version is considered a release candidate when 1) all previous verified fixed bugs are re-verified still fixed, 2) no new bugs have been found in this version, and 3) no known show stopper bugs without a work around exist at time of release. Show stopper bugs are typically data corruption, lockups, crashes, or blocked functionality.

My "account" is still inactive. The account name is topgear93. How long would it take to enable it?
