Servers not letting me pick a char?

Okay, so me and several of my friends spread all over the US region (not sure if this matters, just wanting to point it out) are experiencing a problem where we join a server and it kicks us after letting us join. The server will let us join, but we will not be sent to a team and we do not have the option to select a hero. About 3 seconds after this, it gives us the message "Connection to the host timed out". I don't see there being any problems client side, seeing as how it is happening to three of my friends and we all have a ping < 40 on almost all of the US servers.
Any ideas to this?

This happened a couple of weeks ago to the EU servers. I'll ask one of the devs to restart the servers ASAP. You will just have to play by hosting your own servers, or joining custom ones. Either way, you will have to wait till this gets resolved.

I see it mainly happening to the US_Dallas servers.
But thank you for the info.
