This thread is to officially confirm that anyone can record footage of SpeedRunners, post it wherever they want, and monetize it. We will not file any copyright claims and explicitly WANT you to make money off playing SpeedRunners on Youtube, Twitch or wherever.

This is great news, a friend and I are creating a youtube channel and would love to have a few video's of SpeedRunners on it, I had however heard that there was a problem with the music? is this still happening or has it been resolved?

also are we getting a patch any time soon, there are bugs out the wha-zoo in this game between getting stuck in the loading screne, the screne not following the right characters and general lag its almost unplayable in its current form. developer, do us a solid, give us a date for a fix please?

We posted an update two hours ago with fixes for most of the issues you mentioned :)
It's r21, make sure you update to that version and please let us know if the issues persist.

Unlike most developers thinking it kills their sales, usually its quite the opposite. If it wasn't for lets players i would had never gotten this (WELL technecally was a gift from a friend but i only accepted it because its freaking awesome.)

I just wanted to say that I friggin LOVE this game, and I bought it for all of my friends for glorious running at an accelerated velocity.

I even recorded a couple episodes worth and threw them up on Youtube, and since you guys are totally cool with it, I monetized them. It seems, however, that Youtube thinks I'm not allowed to do that. According to them, and I quote from the email (which went back and forth for a while):

"Please note that messages, comments, and postings from social media websites (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, Google+, etc.) or blogs may not be sufficient to establish your commercial use rights."


I just figured I'd give you guys the heads up that even though you're cool with it, Youtube thinks otherwise. Blame the new copyright system they've got, I guess.
