This movie is disappointment

Indie games are a modern phenomenon. They can often offer something that no AAA company can offer. Some of them are ingenious, some are real piece of art, and most of them embody the real spirit of freedom.

This is why I expected a good documentary about the rise of indie games. Instead I get yet another reality show. WTF?! Indie games are often considered as alternative to the mainstream, why should a movie about them be a typical mainstream ♥♥♥♥?! Yes, I know "Big brother" formant is very popular to the general public but I am sick of it. Less and less people make real docuntaries and more and more are making "reality" shows. Even the first human flight to Mars (Mars One) will be a reality show too!!!

This movie started well - there were few words about what helped indie games to get so popular (digital distribution, Valve), there were comparisons with AAA games, they even mentioned some of the greatest indie games of all time (Minecraft, World of Goo)....and then all went down to typical ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ reality show! We are introduced to a lady who wants to have an ugly cat and a guy who wants to kill himself only to talk few minutes later that he wants to kill his former business partner! What a "documentary" (sic.)!!!!

I think the reason they didn't just talk about the rise of indie games is because you pretty much covered the reason for the rise in 1st sentence of the 3rd paragraph.

People have always been making games at home, but before there wasn't an easy way for those people to share their games with the world. With social media and digital distribution, it's easier than ever for people to get there games out there for others to try and spread the word about them.

I can't understand how you compared Big Brother to this film. Indie games are the creation of one person or a small group of people and so if they don't talk to those people and find out about them and what drives them, then it would be a bit of a rubbish documentary.

So, basically you want a documentary on Steam and game sales? Whatever floats your boat I guess. I'm not sure you even seen a reality TV show.

You do also realise that there has been documentaries on human beings pretty much since the time film has been invented? Mars One is a joke, if a human being ever sets foot on Mars, it won't have anything to do with that, it's an insult to the film to compare it to that.
