Cannot complete Kurtz deduction board

Got all the bits I needed to get, deduction board open, proper choices set... NONE of the choices will turn green. NONE! I checked hint guides and I know I got them right, but the game won't advance! When I quit out and ask Watson he just says we need to finish the deduction board... What not?

Weird, after a couple more tries, I did manage to pass that section.

Maybe it's a lack of feedback on what's right and what's wrong?

after loading an old save, it fixed, but obviously this is a bug.

In case anyone else has this problem, it might be that the wording is very similiar on some of the conclusions. I doubled checked my answers against some walkthroughs as I was sure any other deductions and conclusions would be illogical but it wasn't turning green, and they told me I had the right conclusion. I played around with it some more and it worked for me when I changed one of my answers from "his accomplices brought him this pipe" to "his accomplices PREPARED him this pipe" (I think this is a translation thing maybe because really these two conclusions have basically the same implications), even though this wasn't what the walkthroughs said.
