How to cancel escort side missions?

I got request from a guy called Raimond to escort him somewhere but when the map showed exact location it became clear that this area is unaccesable for me yet. Can you even cancel escort requests? When I talk with a guy he speaks nothing.

If it has an additional requirement, like they want a "quiet journey" so fighting a boss upsets them, then you can fail that way. Otherwise, no. There doesn't seem to be a way.

There's nowhere on the map that's inaccessible at any point.
But you could just toss him in the brine. That will cancel it for sure

Well I can pretty much guarantee there's a way to your destination that you haven't found

well I did but the marker on mini map still persist and quest not marks as failed
