Why must they change the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Voice Actors.

Why does Crap-com insist on changing the Voice Actors for the games that are so ingrained in the players minds as having specific voices for all of the characters, like honestly, none of the original voice actors are in the remake, this pisses me off to a whole new level. if it was a NEW game then fine, yeah, let a voice actor get their shot at becoming a bigger actor. but just from the trailer they changed WAY too much. ALL of the VA's are new, the look of ALL of the main characters are much different than the original (and yes i understand that this is a remake and some things change, but Leon doesn't look like Original Leon from RE4, Ashley looks like a 45 year old soccer mom with 4 kids, Luis looks like a random ass Caucasian man, Salazar looks like Margaret thatcher has been excavated from her "forever box" and stuck strung up like a puppet while some old guy speaks for her, and i have yet to see any of the other characters aside from "the big cheese" who actually looks pretty close to the original except with maybe a fuller beard.

AND on top of that the VA for Leon sounds like an 18 year old who played the game once and is doing a crappy impersonation of Leon, Ashley sounds like aforementioned soccer mom that they found on the street, and as i said before Salazar sound like some random dad that they found outside of a bar, and from what I've heard of saddler's voice, he sounds like they guy that's voicing Salazar' estranged brother from a secret family their dad had at one point.

I know this sounds very nit-picky but honestly imagine they took your favorite TV series or movie and literally just changed the actors who played the characters but kept everything else the same...You'd be rightly pissed off at the producers of the show.

well this is me but with THIS remake. and honestly if they released an option to change to the original voice actors i would be OKAY with the game mostly, but i still hate the way they made the characters look.

it's called an opinion, they're like a$$ holes, everybody has one. it may not be the same as your opinion, but that doesn't mean that their(or my) opinion is any less significant than your own.

It's understandable they find new voices to voice characters of that age.

not necessarily, the remake of saints row the third had all the voice and dialogue lines re voiced because the voice quality wasn't good enough for the remake, but they got all the original voice actors to do the voices again, except for a few random npc's here and there i believe.

also if i'm not mistaken the Japanese version does have it's original voice actors.

Yes, her voice acting along with the rest just sounds like they're reading directly off of the script with no attitude with it whatsoever.

it's a far cry better than the remake so far, at least the characters sounded like they had a little bit of enthusiasm. in this remake they don't even have THAT going for them.

The RE4 original voice acting is outstanding.

Although I realise they might not be able to get the original actors back due to the passage of time, it doesn't mean the people they did cast were the best available. They cut corners and it shows.

The RE4 original voice acting is outstanding.

Although I realise they might not be able to get the original actors back due to the passage of time, it doesn't mean the people they did cast were the best available. They cut corners and it shows.

some was good in the original, some was truly awful. (ada in this one is by far the worst out of both games though)

Yeah, I'm holding off on buying until they fix Ada's VA. Couldn't believe how bad it was when I heard it. Even if they don't want to use Jolene again, they need a professional VA for this game and not some low quality amateurish garbage..

they aren't going to recast her after the games released... makes me laugh when people say that things like this will be "fixed" they clearly won't.

the reason i liked remakes voice is because it fit the new character look. we still have the same looking leon but the voice doesnt fit. its like christian bales batmans voice to me.

You might want to check your ears my guy. Leons VA in 4 is the same guy who played him in 2. Ada is the one who had a change in VA's.

It's more realistic and less campy. What do you want them to drop monotonic one liners like no tomorrow? There's already a bit of it in the remake.
