Save/profile damaged = buggy game

I went on the game today to continue playing and it turns out my profile is damaged and save lost....

Disgraceful.

EDIT: I would like a refund.

Its an old game, plus
At least it aint Manhunt 2 which wont save if use any other letter that aint alphabet

That happened to me too, when I disabled the mouse smoothing from the game's folder. Then it was corrupted, but then I realized that my saved games were still there.
Just create another profile and then press on load game or continue. The only thing that profile does is saving diferrent key binds, mouse sensitivity or sound.

Before calling it all buggy you could just use your brain.

There is a very simple and easy solution, you know.

Its called download a 100% playthrough and put it in your savegame folder -> Done

Then just select custom level and click on the map where you played last time and continue onwards.

I feel bad for all the people that talk about damaged profile and stuff and dont realize they can just download a 100% save and continue where they left off in 2 minutes time :D

(there are no downsides too apart from maybe having to set back the controls to default)
