XP was the best OS of its day, time to hand over the title to Windows 7 :)
O yea and we did said for DOS that is best OS ever and same for 95 and 98 and XP (see pattern here?)
You will only lose in compatibily cause less companies will actualy make win XP compatible software and will focus on 7 or bigger ones
Well unfortunately dont expect new games to run on it.
Games makers arent going to be optimizing games for an operating system thats well long in the tooth.
Many games not work on the 7 and 8 Windows, or with errors and lags. But nowdays, most of developers prefer Vista and higher because of nice PhysX and DirectX (10, 11) effects that aren't supported by XP. But don't worry since 2004 I didn't found a really good game, just few. I'm not saying "The Showdown Effect" is a bad game, I didn't tried it. I will try it on Ubuntu Wine or PlayOnLinux, maybe will work or someday I'll buy this "number" 7 :)
