Installing a member of my dynasty on France Throne

I started an Ironman game in 1066 playing as William...I managed to claim the England throne and kicked Harald ass back to Norway..Now I am working to create the Empire of Britannia ...From what I saw till now..the main objective of this game is to get as hightest dynasty score as possible...After I am finished with the Empire of Brittania..I intend to install a member of my dynasty on France throne.(For the dynasty prestige and a possible alliance)..but i dont know if thid is possible in the game...And If its possible..how I need to proceed?

First, you need to make sure that one of your dynasty members has a claim on france, otherwise you can't fight a war for him. If you have a dynasty member with a claim, declare war on france to press his claim, and if you win this one, your dynasty will rule france.

Your dynasty member needs a claim on the french throne then you can fight a war to put them on it if you meet the conditions, strong claims you can do any time, weak claim there has to be a woman on the throne or a regency.

But the easier method is.

Marry a son or brother to a daughter of the french king or if the french king has a son that's not in the top 3 slots for a title, matrilineal marriage a daughter to the son. If the French King dies before his child, the child gets a claim on all his titles. Then fight a war to put the french king's child on the throne then their heir will be of your dynasty.

You don't need to fight a war to get your dynasty in charge of France at all....
Just make clever Marraiges and maybe at time take part in a few shady assassinations!

Yes Bunny the primary goal of CK2 is to Accumulate a big score which is Piety and Prestige...

Most people take the very boring route of conquering the world, which any thug can do....

I much more enjoy the type of game your talking about and installing leaders on all the countrys in the world and avoiding war at all costs!

Assassinations are too random. Wars I can control, no need to wait for a dung cart to explode. But yeah that too.
