So I beat the game yesterday and now I've been sitting in a lobby for about five minutes and only one other person has hopped into the lobby. Is the multiplayer dead? I wouldn't really mind it's just that I want the achievements.

Is there a certain mode that is more popular than others?

From experience, Casual Team Deathmatch seems the most popular.

Try Quickmatch instead of finding specific matches.

If you've got extra DLC maps installed, I'd advise switching them off to help you find more matches.

I saw so many people saying that Bots would be horrible for multiplayer....well they were wrong. I would have rather played bots until other players login than sit in a lobby. TR multiplayer is really fun but you can not circle strafe and bunny hop and scream "YOU'RE CAMPING!!!!" so I imagine no one will play it as it takes some thinking and strategy to do well.
