Keeps crashing my system
I've been playing the game for close to 200 hours over the past couple of months but just lately whenever I try to open the game it gets about halfway through the startup bar and freezes, locking me out of my system and demanding I hard boot. So extremely frustrating. Is anyone else experiencing this? I've made no changes to my system other than Steam auto upgrades so I cannot but suspect something in a recent ARA upgrade.

Hi there and sorry you are having this issue. Have you checked to see if your drivers are all up to date? We have not had an update to the game since update 1.2, so nothing for the game should have changed since then. Did you do any other updates to your pc. windows updates or anything like that?

Hard reboots are almost always hardware problems. Check what your GPU thermals are doing, check the fans on the system to see if they have stopped spinning. It could also be failing hard drive failing memory or something similar. It can be very random (only certain apps, sometimes). Sometimes it's something as silly a loose power connector on your video card.

I contacted the company that sold me the computer and they have suggested it was an upgrade in Windows that is causing the problem and are sending me the software fix. Thanks.

This is good to hear. Please let us know if the issue continues after the fix.
