1. The display settings accessed from F5 don't save, even though the box has an option to save them. I need to open it and select the resolution again every time because it always starts in a tiny window.
2. If a gamepad is plugged in at all, the game becomes unplayable as it acts like up is always being held down. You can't navigate down in menus and as soon as you get to movement the character will just move up. Disabling Steam Input didn't help this; I could only get it to work by unplugging all controllers (one DirectInput, the other XInput) and playing with the keyboard.
3. An enemy in the cave area walked through the top of a cliff to the area above it, which it shouldn't have been able to do.
4. Walking onto coins / switches often doesn't trigger any reaction and I needed to repeatedly walk onto them to get them to trigger.
5. The FPS is incredibly unstable. Sometimes the game runs smoothly, other times the FPS chugs heavily, and the game switches between these states on a dime. I know RPGMaker isn't exactly known for great performance but it usually isn't this inconsistent.
As for 4: That happens mostly when running, walking will trigger them most of the time (even the transfer points).
Best play with the keyboard.
Maybe you have certain controller types deactived?
With the controller plugged in, go to Steam > Settings.
There should be a Controller option (or Controller Configuration)
> General Controller Settings
From there, you should be able to enabe/disable/reconfigure different controller options.
Please let us know if this helps! Ideally, we'll add proper key rebinding, and the ability to manage this sort of solution in-game. But it's been a challenge to add into RPGMaker.
Also yeah, every time the game starts in a tiny window
Native Linux version seems to be promised on full release, though.
Thank you for posting about this. Did you get any specific error message when the game closes? Is it on the title screen where this happens, or even before that shows up?
Since i can't pass any judgement to the demo, i'll just stick to the title :
I can't activate the controller (ps4) for this demo. DS4 doesn't work , this has been confirmed in other feedbacks, as well as people using xbox controllers. So i tried on keyboard, but it was also impossible, as the UP button is strangely always active! The character always goes up, i can go left or right, but i can't really control anything else.
I had other games that didn't take any controller (either i used DS4, or the keyboard, which i am pretty bad at), but this is surely the first time i saw this kind of symptoms
I hope there will be some patches (or another demo in the near future?)
have a nice day
