I really wanted to like this game but after playing it. I will not be buying or wishlisting this game unless changes are made.

I know yall worked hard and its might be good for some, the problems I ran into and suggestions for fixing them are as follows.

1. locking the quest board is a bad idea its need for the first quest/mission. So all progress and feeling of completion is lost when you're spending all of your time trying to figure out how to unlock it and it says unlock one worksation, but the inn bar and oven are both work stations and they dont seem to unlock it. I cant find any place to do research. Over all its just too damn confusing and leads to fustration and not fun.

2. micro manage every little thing. We hire staff so they can do work for us so that we can focus on other stuff. having an inn staff that does nothing, does not even move, pisses me off to no end. I still have to click on the bar make food and drinks. This is the least enjoyable thing to do and watch, just a couple of people walk in and sit down, to get up and leave. There should be a cook, barmaid, bard, etc.. that you can hire and show the life and fun they are having, see them moving around, talking, dancing, getting drunk and passing out and vomiting on my floors of which my inn keeper has to clean up. Where are the beds for them to sleep on.

3. the lack of ceiling, you can clearly tell there is no roof and its immersion breaking, when storms, rain and fog happen its cool but the inside of the buildings should be clear and easy to see inside and there shouldnt be sunlight and shadows showing there is no roof.

4. Trading is a scam. you have to buy items one at a time and you get upcharged for each item, and not discounted for buying bulk. With all these plots and stuff, I really hope that you have plans for farms, to grow own food, cut own trees, etc..

5. The plots of lands are not balanced. You have this random sized land plots but huge floors and walls that do not fit the plot grid. Because of my OCD this bothers me to no end. Once again that feeling of completion and neat is missing.

6. The game makes you feel like your suppose to shove all the shops, buildings and stuff into one plot of land and just no. If the plots was a bit bigger and you could upgrade the size of the plot down the line then I would see that as a very cool and interesting idea. But from all the plots around it seems more then I am suppose to making a town.

Hey Zentame, I'll try to answer all your points as best I can.

Mr George explains during the Tutorial that you need to build a second Workstation to unlock the Questboard. You need a Workstation other than the Inn to be able to craft Equipment for your Heroes - only once you can offer them equipment to buy will they be interested in coming to your Town.
Allowing the Questboard to be built without having a Workstation will not allow players to progress in the game and will lead to greater confusion.

We are still before Early Access and we have a lot of things planned for the game. The focus of the game is however not to be a Tavern Simulator, but to provide your Heroes with everything they need and task them to fight bigger and bigger enemies.
As we are only two developers, we need to decide where to spend our resources, so for now it will not be our main focus to add these things to the game.

When you zoom into Heroes, you can see there is a ceiling. When looking down at the shops, the ceiling is hidden to make it easy to interact with the Heroes and Items inside.
Weather does not affect the inside of the buildings as long as the floor is surrounded by walls.

The Trader is not meant to be the way you acquire resources. Often he will sell Items for more than they are worth.
Your main way of acquiring Resources is by sending Heroes on Quests, however all Tier 1 Resources can also be acquired without relying on your Heroes at all - either by gathering them from the map or by building production farms with your workstations (found under Upgrades in the Build Menu).

The plots are all sized differently so that you can decide if you want to pay for the space with higher taxes, or you'd rather take it slow at the start and go for a smaller plot.
If you do not want to follow the grid placement - most of the Items can be placed freely, by pressing "F" or toggling the Red Crystal on the Left Side of the Build Menu.
While placing Items in the Grid you can also align them at half-steps.

In the Workstation Tooltips it states that only one Workstation can be built per plot of land. We're also making it clear on the store page that you are going to build a Town to equip Heroes for their adventures, not running only one Shop/Inn.
I'm sorry if you feel this wasn't clear.

Thank you for taking the time to write out your Feedback!

(I'm also going to move this post over to the Feedback Forum)
