It was almost laughable. I was a grizzled veteran of several campaigns that had raged across Ehb, and Sanctuary... even Pandora. I had seen it all, done it all, conquered all who stood against me, and the gold and legendary armor sets of my vanquished foes filled my storerooms near to bursting. What did this click'n'loot clone have to offer that I didn't already have?
But my friend was tenacious... and cunning. He'd wait until I was languishing in a deep, black bout of ennui to whisper tales of colorful adventures, stretching across wondrous continents and of untold riches, ripe for the plundering. In that darkness, seeds were planted and began to grow. Soon, more of my friends were spending time at the Estherian Enclave, and the stories they told, the discoveries they made, the dangers they faced watered those seeds as they took root.
As fate would have it, the Great Merchant City of Gaben offered portals to Torchlight at a great bargain which was too good to pass up, and so with lucre in hand, I visited Gaben's shops and booked passage on the Steam-powered carriages to a world I prayed would not disappoint.
I know what you're thinking, were his prayers answered? Well, let's just say that when I finish writing this, I'm going to make my way home as quickly as possible and do everything in my power to ensure that I can adventure in Torchlight while not missing any of the great sport that will occur later this evening in New Orleans. If it comes down to it, you can find me battling the Ezrohir. I'll check on my Gators after.
P.S. Amazing loot, so many drops it's unbelievable, and no grind compared to Diablo III
