minion work ethic
i just send an in game week following a lvl3 orc cook and i feel a little dissapointed.
he made exactly two meals and spend most time in transit even though i put all "dirty no cleaning" rooms are on one floor next to each other. some parts i could improve myself, admitedly but there is no excuse for a orc cook to go down three levels to coock a meal in a squeky clean citchen with fewer stars to make one meal and then run back three floors up to eat in the "orc canteen".

i was originally planning to theme each floor aroung one or two races (+race specific utilities) with ones complimenting each other closer together and one floor dedicated to general utilities like kitchens and crafting station. given the unpredictible, likely random, pathfinding that appears to be a pipe dream.

next up is ways to track a minions needs. as it stands, there seems to be no way to track at least the overall stutus of minions with any precision like, x minions are hungry right now, x minions are bored etc. it also wouldnt hurt to get a weekly feedback of, x minions quit this week because reason y.

this game has management in its tags but refuses to give player proper tools to make educated descisions which if combined with seemingly randomized pathfinding makes the game less than fun to play if efficiency is the goal.

at least that is what it feels like to me after playing about 6 ish hours of the campaign.
(im at the win gzores cursed hutch quest)

How many storage shelves do you have in your kitchen? They can only hold x amount of meals it could be building more would fix this as your orc didn't have anywhere to put the food he makes, or the game is bugged.

they were empty of meat dishes. all of em. in both kitchens. one of the reasons why i was following the bloke. because i had two orc cooks at the time and no prepared dishes.

i was trying to figure out how many cooks i need. and an output of two meat dishes every week feels kind of low for a lvl 3 cook.

Yes but were they full of other food? it's a set amount they can hold so if there are 15 veggie meals then there is no space for meat meals.

i think one was full of lunches? but if this is the case, it may need a overhaul of the UI. just give players the option to choose what goes in the pantry if it has that kind of limit or just give specialized storage furniture....

something like:
pantry can hold a total of 15 dishes.
currently contains
x lunches
x veggie
x meat
x dessert

instead of giving a x/15 for everything. thats just bad ui design,

What are you on about dude. there is a limit set for EACH type of food ... and there doesn't seems to be any total limit to the total number of food.

The heck are you talking about the whole point of the shelves in the kitchen is to increase the amount of food your cooks can make and store.
The food storage seems to be "magical", since you can build a kitchen somewhere in the dungeon, only with shelves, and others elswhere without any shelves, and everything work the same way.

the purpose of the shelves seems to be just increment a limit in the whole game about the food storage, not store more food for a specific kitchen.
