This is my first time playing a game in the NBK universe, what should I know?

The Dungeon of Naheulbeuk is a comedic high fantasy parody series created by John Lang. The series began in 2001 as a French-language online audio series following a party of adventurers in a fantasy role-playing game. John Lang wrote and produced the series, as well as performed most of the character voice. Following its success, the story was adapted into a comic series, a set of novels, and a video game with The Dungeon of Naheulbeuk: The Amulet of Chaos.

Naheulbeuk's Dungeon Master is a prequel to The Amulet of Chaos and offers a great starting point for newcomers to the series. All you need to know is that the villainous great sorcerer Zangdar has hired you, the Gobelin steward Reivax, to build, manage and defend the titular Dungeon of Naheulbeuk . Set years before the comic books’ storyline, the Dungeon of Naheulbeuk is in bad shape, close to bankruptcy, and falling apart and under the surveillance of the Dungeons Fund. It is now your job to rebuild everything, replenish the account’s balance, restore the reputation, recruit employees, and attract adventurers.

When will Naheulbeuk's Dungeon Master be available?

Naheulbeuk's Dungeon Master will launch on 15th November at 15:00 CET! The Mac version on Steam is coming in the upcoming weeks, we will announce the date soon.

What genre will the game be?

Naheulbeuk's Dungeon Master is a dungeon building management sim.

What are my missions in the game?

Naheulbeuk's Dungeon Master ‘s core gameplay will revolve around constructing a dungeon and ensuring it functions properly as a business. As the new dungeon master, you’ll have to design your dungeon, growing it from a shaky establishment to an infamous lair. Construct many kinds of rooms and adorn them with furniture and decorations to make them functional and stylish. Oversee resource production, manage the tavern, and attract and kill adventurers with guards and traps! Recruit and manage minions from various jobs and origins to achieve your goals, and answer their needs to avoid strikes and deaths. You can also partake in raids, where you send your minions on various missions outside of the dungeon to collect treasures!

What are the different game modes in the game?

There’s both a Story mode and a Sandbox mode. Story mode takes players through a narrative-driven campaign, with memorable characters, missions and plot points. Sandbox mode offers players a huge host of options to really customize their own experience and create the dungeon of their dreams unimpeded.

How long is the game?

This greatly depends on how in-depth players want to get, but we estimate the average player could get through the game’s story campaign mode in about 8-10 or so hours. A sandbox mode offers unlimited playtime.

What languages will be supported?

Naheulbeuk's Dungeon Master will feature full audio in English, French, and German. Subtitles support will be available for the following languages: English, French, German, Spanish, simplified Chinese, Russian, and Polish.

Who is developing Naheulbeuk's Dungeon Master?

Based in Villeurbanne, near Lyon, Artefacts Studio is one of the major players in the French indie gaming scene, with more than 60 passionate employees and dozens of collaborators. Artefacts’ titles have a strong focus on narrative and have run the gamut from RPGs, to tactics, adventure, and even racing games. Since its foundation in 2003, the studio has helped develop major console titles like Blood Bowl III and Space Hulk Tactics. Artefacts has been creating full games since 2014, including Agatha Christie: The ABC Murders and The Dungeon of Naheulbeuk: The Amulet of Chaos.
