Game reliable crashes in MacOS 10.11 // campaign unplayable

I've recently tried playing Oil Rush again on my mac, and have found that its impossible to get past the first and second campaign missions due to reliable crasheing. The crashes seem to be related to updates to objectives, since other gamemodes still work fine.
