"Demonstrating TFC" Project (?)
In TF2 wiki every weapon, building or in-game special items (like canteens in MvM, special taunts, Pyrovision and weapon+cosmetic functions) has its own videos to show it as simply, as possible and describe its abilities with ease. And I've been wondering for a while, why not to make a demonstration project of every significant weapons and mechanics the TFC has? I'm not talking about "let's resurrect TFC, gonna wreck this cartoony TF2, everybody will have to press Space-key all the time", no. Let's just make the game a little bit more comfortable to understand for the newcomers or simply just people that are interested in.
(I think, because of ment-by-Valve-TFC unbalanced nature these could even include something like "class-demonstrating" videos, that'd be explaining every class's evolution through the meta, from the point of playing how it's been ment to the point how people play it now, alongside with its core mechanics.)

What do you think about this? Would you try making it possible in case of having enough time?

Sounds cool

TFC is a fairly basic game. It could be explained within a 5 min video. So yeah, this could easily be done and posted in the guides section. I'm not doing it though. ;)

You see, TF2 is a basic game too. It's even more basic, than TFC - less stock weapons, less additional mechanics, and the Medic is a freakin' healer, as he's supposed to be, Pyro has somewhat usage and so on. But they have their very complicated videos showing all the details. Why? Because such detailed and closed showing is not the easiest to do, but they easiest to understand way of telling something. And such a mess-game, like TFC, highly requires the visual way of giving information. Also, it has a great potential of explainig some really important things, that are hard and useless to explain with text, like, for example, grenades' explosion radius, AID's spreading range, real purposes of classes in modern meta, the bunnyhop overall feeling and so on.

I know what you're saying, videos speak a thousand words. Who wants to read large chunks of text.

Why don't you do it?

TFC isn't that much of a mess (excluding the Pyro and some bugs), you've just judged based on experience fromTF2 first instead of the other way around. They're completely different games despite the name.

You make it sound like you need a weekend off just to understand TFC. Excluding bhop and concing... people really don't need spoon feeding to this they? Unless these individuals have never played a first person on-line shooter before.

A quick 5 min mess around with each class is enough to understand everything.

I had no other choice instead of reading and doing it myself. And, basically, I can understand the whole thing with TFC in a short video. The problem is, a lot of others can't.
I could do the weapon demonstrations, I think.
Just need players to demonstrate the weapons on >:D

Three questions:
1) Does anybody know a decent mapmaker, who is able to make a map, similar to this one ( with all the structure based around showing range of weapons and various explosive jumps (alongside with flag-capturing mechanics)?
2) Should we makesomething like Skype-discussion about this, as while, as we're doing it serios?
3) Not important at all, but does TFC have some kind of official, or, at least, properly consonating soundtrack?
