With the new DLC there are even MORE mysteries to be solved. For the sake of organization, I felt we should have a thread dedicated to the secrets and easter eggs present.

Note, that since this thread is all about spoilers, I will not be spoilering content from here on. Proceed with caution.


THE MATH DUCK & THE LOCKED DOOR:
This is the black duck with mathematic formulas written on it, and a message. By looking at older threads we know that more of it used to be blurred, but has been gradually more readable overtime. (Link to a relevant thread: Link to a relevant thread

While some of it is still obscured, we know it says "The door will open when you find the [blurry]" ( pic 1 [64.media.tumblr.com]) ( pic 2 [64.media.tumblr.com]). Other identifiable bits of text at the moment are:
"Xn+1=λxn(1-Xn)" ( pic [64.media.tumblr.com])
dx/dt=f(x;μ) f : x<->x ( pic [64.media.tumblr.com])

Both wings have text that is still blurred.

UPDATE: The full unblurred message is "The door will open when you find the code." See HEXCODE DUCK for more.



BASEBALL DUCK:
Maybe I'm the only one bothered by it, but considering we have confirmation that specific names can trigger events (see SOLVED EASTER EGGS for more)... I just need to know what it says.

The baseball duck has a signature ( pic [64.media.tumblr.com]) that I am unable to read, let alone pin to a real person's name if that's what's intended.



POSTAGE STAMP DUCK
This duck is from the Duck Addiction DLC, recently released in February 2023. Alongside sporting many stamps, this duck has real life coordinates on it ( pic [64.media.tumblr.com]) reading "42°12'25.0" N 13°15'59.2 E". Putting this in google reveals a location in Italy ( pic 1 [64.media.tumblr.com]) ( pic 2 [64.media.tumblr.com]) (where the devs are from) near a location called "ruderi del Castello di Corvaro"

It is unknown if it is of any relevance, but a person named Simon McKim left a google review for the Castello reading "Sent a Duck here! waiting for it to show up...." ( pic [64.media.tumblr.com]).
Simon, months ago, left another review mentioning ducks - however, it was a Hitman reference, and I don't believe is related in anyway. While I have a suspicion that Simon may be a dev (simply due to how close that review was to the release of the DLC), I CANNOT suggest reaching out, stalking, or harassing this individual.

It is unknown if anything is at those coordinates, or if we are intended to do... well, anything with them. If any local Italians want to check it out, be my guest, but I cannot promise that there will be anything there (+ I don't know if it's a restricted area/private, or if the terrain is safe. Use your own judgement. Your health and safety is much more important than a duck game).

UPDATE: The ruderi del Castello di Corvaro is the castle pictured in Quacking The Ice! If you zoom in, you can see a red X marked on the picture. ( pic [i.imgur.com])

CROSSWORD DUCK
Another duck with legible writing! In this case, it has both crossword answers, and crossword hints.

FILLED ANSWERS:
PPDS ( pic [64.media.tumblr.com])
DISCORD GG / PECORINO ( pic [64.media.tumblr.com])
TONFO / TRIN(?) (The last letters are hidden under the wing) ( pic [64.media.tumblr.com])

Discord GG are a part of server invite links. Pecorino is a type of sheep's cheese. Trino translates to "trill" or "twitter". My translator doesn't translate Tonfo, but other sources say it means splash/thud/flop in Italian.

HINTS:

Using DeepL to translate, they roughly mean:
f. Lathers but is not soap [www.deepl.com]

The hints ontop of the head are incredibly blurry. ( pic [64.media.tumblr.com])



HEXCODE DUCK
This duck, when selected, puts you in a first person view. On the left bits of a hexcode message will be printed. On the right, it "sccans" other ducks.

User Jod has started translating the hexcodemessages ( here ). I will be double checking myself to see how many messages there are (tomorrow... when it's not nearly 1am).

A few ducks have confirmed unique scans.

SOLVED - TURBOLENTO DUCK
When you get the duck with the 'Turbolento' nametag on it, naming it Turbolento will cause a poster to appear on the map. This applies to both currently available maps.

I've got two pieces of info for you regarding what I've taken to calling the RoboDuck: When it scans the mallard duck it says "Impostor" in the info section, and it says "Shapeshifter" there for the chameleon duck.

So I would guess Hearts-Spades-Diamonds-Clubs or Hearts-Spades-Clubs-Diamonds could mean something maybe.

So I've been trying to figure out the math duck for a while: heres some stuff ive tried that havent worked;
- Naming the duck Chaos/Chaos Theory
- Naming the duck the Creator of the Chaos Theory
- Trying to actually solve the equation (not saying this isn't the awnser, I just suck at complex math)
- Naming the duck Code
- Naming the duck Open Door
Ive debated asking one of the upper math class teachers at my school for anything he could think of, but I feel like i should know if im going the right direction for this first. If anyone else has any ideas that could help me other than the stuff from that other thread that would be great.

Baseball duck: that looks like the signature of Mauro Prosperi, a pentathlete born in Rome who got lost in the Sahara desert for nine days while running a marathon. His wiki page is here. [en.wikipedia.org]

The text above it looks like "al cero toro" which google translate says is Italian for "to the candle". I don't know if that's accurate or the significance of the phrase if it is. I tried naming the duck Mauro Prosperi but it didn't change anything.

does anybody know if the ice completely breaks at some point... and if it Does, does anything occur with the woolly mammoth duck under it?
maybe it's like your Poseidon duck?
and another dumb question but... "Scanner duck"?? is that the robocop one?

The scanner duck is, in fact, the RoboCop-looking one - like it says up in the first post, clicking on it puts you into a first-person view where it scans the other ducks (and the flamingo).
