Prince of Persia

Prince of Persia

You kidding Ubisoft?
No achievements, no sign that controller is supported and you´re on your own to see if yours work, no steam cloud synch, I don´t see any of the DLCs so I will guess they are all integrated with the game but yet the sotre doesn´t say anything....

Seriously Ubisoft, I´m starting to think you don´t give a ♥♥♥♥ to us PC players. Between this and the stupidity of not allowing online coop in the Rayman Oranges and the new Rayman Laranjas (origins and legends actually, in case anyone REALLY does go to the internet to look for those games) I´m starting to think I should just avoid buying any Ubigame for me PC or even care when I new one is out.

Flashnews Ubisfot: PC is not "death" anymore, and we actually wait for AT LEAST the same respect and same products as console gamers. You can keep your ♥♥♥♥♥♥ empty PC versions of your games if that´s how you feel about us as costumers.

1. I doubt Ubisoft has anything to do with whether or not there are achievements.

2. Many games on Steam do not indicate or incorrectly indicate controller support. Unfortunately, it's kind of up to you to do the research. Ubisoft recommends the Xbox 360 controller or equivalent for this title. That's what I use.

3. Yeah, I suppose it probably should have cloud sync. Maybe there's a technical reason it doesn't.

4. The DLC for this game was never released for PC version.

5. Ubisoft is probably one of the most PC friendly game publishers these days, besides maybe Square Enix and Valve. Many of their titles are released simultaneously with the console versions and they usually include decent in-game graphics options. At least nearly every major Ubisoft title/game is available on PC (that I know of). The same can't be said for many other publishers, including Rockstar. I still get angry when I think about Red Dead Redemption being console exclusive. Those ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥s!

I may be wrong about the achievements part. I really have no idea where those come from.
Ubisoft PC friendly........I want to live in your paralel universe dude. While not that much AGAINST pc gaming, they don´t do anything special for us. With people like Valve or CD Proyect out there you CAN´T really say Ubisfot is PC friendly, neither are our enemies, they just focus on consoles and, eventually, their games reach the PC, with less features most of the time. The achievements DOES have to do with them, considering they are the ones making the port and the extra programing in case is need it. And I have not very clear if your deffending them or not, considering you also take notice that PC version lacks the DLCs.

Your deffense is weak in my opinion, my apologies if that sounds harsh on my part.

I was simply replying to your rant that took me like 5 seconds of research to find the answers to, not defending the game or Ubisoft. Obviously, Ubisoft could do more for the PC crowd. But they're not the worst. That was my point. Maybe I overstated that a bit. If you were to simply read the system requirements, you would see some info about controller support. And a quick Google search would've told you the DLC never made it to the PC version. You're welcome for doing the work for you.

Edit: By the way, I agree that CD Projekt may very well be one of most PC friendly developers. I only know of their Witcher games, but the way they made enhanced versions of both and provided all the enhancements to everyone who owned the game was very generous of them, to say the least. Also, there were no bullsh*t DLC schemes from them (as far as I know). DLC pisses me off unless it's free, really cheap or justifies its price by adding loads of content months after the games release. Day one DLC is f*cking bullsh*t. There's my little rant.

I'm glad there are no achievements. I just wish I could disable them completely...

Ubisoft cares very much about PC players because they need them. They need them as potential scapegoats when sales are not as expected. "Pirates!" Not a half-♥♥♥♥♥ release. Not the usual delayed "pc-release". Not the senseless UPlay DRM. Nope, none of that. ^^
