It was a fun game. Unfortunately, a recent patch modified the main screen to be full of advertisements by the publisher.
I no longer recommend buying this game.

This is a great game but they don't encourage many builds. example bow builds will almost always work. but trying to do other builds like shurikens or clever are just luck based whether or not you get one specific item. This is kinda disappointing because those are some of the funnest builds but then so difficult to pull off or get the items to start them its just annoying

The game itself is very fun, but there are so many bugs that have not been fixed. Your character gets stuck and the run must be abandoned. This has happened multiple times to me. (There have been 2 battles on one tile and the game does not allow you to select commands in the second battle. There are sometimes 2 paths you can go down and your character is permanently stuck.) Add that to the story mode which is below average, and there is a lot of wasted potential here. It is worth $9.99 in its present form, but the bugs will frustrate you.

This is very boring, not a single challenge in the first three runs. It's like babies first inventory management and I don't even understand why they have the map be as large as it is when theres only two or three zones each map level anyways. Straight up if you're looking for a cozy relaxing non challenging game this might be fine for you but I was looking for a game with even like a little bit of challenge. I didn't even need to make any hard choices with the inventory management and the fights are so braindead easy it's uninteresting.

I've really loved playing this game. Truly, it feels special. But the developers pushed an update months ago that completely broke progression, and won't even respond to comments about it.

I love the idea of this game, but I don't love the game. It's probably a fun game for a lot of people, but I just can't recommend it.

The idea is great. Explore a dungeon, find a bunch of loot, play a game of inventory Tetris with your loot where the locations of your items determine their effectiveness -- this is all good stuff. Unfortunately, it doesn't make up for the negatives.

I'm 5 hours into this game. Every run, I've either been completely untouchable with enough passive block to coast through every fight, or I've gotten hosed by a boss whose scaling I couldn't match. There has been no middle ground. There was never a run I won where I thought "phew, that was close", and never a run I lost where I thought, "darn, almost had it!" It's just not very interesting.

The game is well made. The sprites are cute, the interface is clean, and things generally make sense. But progress is extremely slow and grindy. I wish I liked this game more, but I just don't. If I change my mind, I'll update this review.

This game is missing something. I expected it to be more satisfying. I can't really place my finger on it. It has to do with the awkward map you have to click on every time you want to move further into the dungeons.
The village is a strange place which navigates and controls awkwardly.

It just missis that special something. Buy the game when it is on sale.

Tough one for me to say yes or no on, but after experiencing maybe the 20th game breaking bug now in only 10 hours from me, I'm moving to a solid "NO" on this one. There's a lot of potential here, but it's absolutely inexcusable how janky and buggy this game is. I sit here once again with my character just endlessly traveling between spaces, unable to reach the destination, unable to save the game, unable to do anything other than reset and lose the entire floor of progress. Beyond that there are some bugs that are just always head scratchingly present, such as the option to preview if an item fits available research or not. It literally doesn't work at all and just picks a random set of items that have nothing to do with the item you clicked preview research on. Also the UI is just plain bad, which is a problem for a game that is entirely based around supposedly having a smooth UI.

To elaborate on the awful UI - don't even think about playing on a controller or the steam deck. I can't even begin to explain how bad it is, just download the demo and see for yourself. It's borderline unplayable. But beyond the broken controller functionality, the UI just has head scratchingly bad decisions. If ever there were a game that should at least have the *option* for some "are you sure?" type prompts, this would be it, yet there is none of it. Oh you leveled up and have some new spaces to select? Oh whoops you accidentally clicked on "done" instead of taking your extra space. Looks like you lose your level up! No take backs! Oh you have a set of reward to choose from, and you against accidentally clicked "done"? Again, no "final answer?" here, just remove them all and have fun!

It scratched a Diablo 2 inventory management itch that I didn't know I had, but quickly got boring with base management seeming more like a drag rather than an interesting game mechanic. Dungeons seemed extremely easy (too much so), even past the initial tutorial.
