Hello

This is the thread for the beta branch of the game. You'll find the current change log below.

What is it?

This is a branch where new patches are tested before they go live for everyone.

How to access

In your library, right click on Brotato => Properties => Betas => Select the beta branch (instead of "default")

Note: if you have weird issues or the game is not launching on the beta branch, try unsubscribing from all mods.

• Ported over a lot of the performance optimizations from the amazing "Performance Booster" mod by WL. A big thank you from our side for the hard work.
  
• Improve performance of spawning gold and consumables
  
• Properly disable unused UI elements to improve performance
  
• During startup any missing Steam achievements, which sould be unlocked based on your savefile, are automatically unlocked. This allows for a more performant implementation of achievement tracking.
  
• Various translation adaptions (big thanks to all the community feedback for improved translations)

• Fixed Builder crashing at the end of a wave
  
• Gardens now properly spawn fruits again

• Creating an empty savefile no longer crashes the game
  
• Fixed character ordering in the character selection. It was not always consistent.
  
• Fixed a bug where items like padding did not update correctly on gold changes
  
• Normal and cursed inventory items now again retain the order in which they were bought
