Preloading is a thing of the past when internet speeds weren't that fast. Today it shouldn't take more than a few minutes to download 100GB of data on an average internet connection.

Not everyone has access to fast internet. Many people such as myself (as I'm in Uni accommodation) are limited to slower speeds.

Outside of major cities in the US the internet speeds can be really ♥♥♥♥♥♥. You wouldn't think its like that but it is.

Oddly enough, every time I've ever preloaded something, I end up having to uninstall and then reinstall, as the unlock process takes several hours, while just downloading the game is much faster. I don't preload anymore, hahaha.

Except no one wants to wait half an hour to download when the game launches when they can preload a day before and start the second it's available.

I understand your struggle, I mostly live in a city now but I have a house in a Bosnian village and we had MAX 10mbps for decades and just last week we got FINALLY fiber infrastructure and the speeds now are up to 1gbps, the difference is beyond crazy.

Tell that to someone who has to download the game for 15 hours. Also unpacking usually takes me 30 mins tops.
