Any advantage to Egg Storage Box? Or farm help?

I visit my farm every day cycle and get eggs at the beginning. Seems like having a machine that I need to check to do that same thing would be more inconvenient, not less. Unless it somehow gives benefits that I don't understand.

Related, since I visit daily I don't see a reason to hire help for the farm. Managing the farm is quick and easy and the price for hiring help isn't so I don't see any benefit to that at all, I can't imagine the cost outweighs the benefit. Am I missing something here?

I mean you've already stated the advantages: automation. If you don't want to check between every dive, you can pay for help. If you do, you don't need to. By the time you make it to Platinum/Diamond, money matters very little.

Lots of people were asking for automation for a while, so the devs obliged.

I mean there isn't much point to automation if it doesn't make things more efficient, spending a bunch of cash on it is only worth it if you've bought everything else in the game and are still playing. If it were a one time cost and the materials were automatically shipped, and the same thing existed for the fish, it would make more sense.
