I want the Left 4 dead 2 maps, can I get them if I own the game already?

Is there a way i can get them from my games folders?
and if anyone can help me, i'm trying to use this link I got from a friend to get them too....

You have to copy them from your C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\left 4 dead 2\left4dead2\maps folder, however some don't work, especially if you haven't put the models and materialsfrom L4D2 into SFM. Some models WILL crash SFM. There is a Compatability pack out there, read this and follow the instructions...

I don't really understand the steps in the pack to be honest with you...
Like the exact steps would be nice if I had it
