Changing graphics settings?
Hi everybody, a few weeks ago I installed SFM onto my Toshiba Satellite Pro C660-2UU with an integrated video card (Intel HD Graphics 3000) and SFM have a very low graphics (even lip-sync doesn't work because the mouth doesn't move). It says I don't have Directx9 or Shader Model 3, but I have Directx11 and Shader 4.1. If I press F11 and go into the game world it sets the graphics to high and it runs smooth, except for the Blur which lags a bit in 3rd person view. Is there any way to set higher graphics also on the SFM?

Right click the viewport and select render settings, turn off Ambient Occulsion while working in SFM, turn it back on before rendering. I'm not quite sure where your laptop Chipset falls within the min specs required listed below...

Video: NVIDIA GeForce 200 series card or better, or AMD Radeon 3000 series or better (NVIDIA GeForce 400 series or AMD Radeon 5000 series preferred)
Monitor: 1366 x 768 (1920 x 1080 suggested)

The fact you have DirectX 11 installed on your machine is irrelevant. Your graphics card's compatibility with it is what matters. For instance, I have DX11 installed too, but my GPU is a Radeon HD 4850, which is DX10 compliant only. That means I can't activate DX11 effects like tesselation in games.

Lip sync not working could be due to a number of reasons. Perhaps you imported a non HWM model. But what do you mean, low graphics? Could you post a screenshot of that? If you mean washed out colours and a diagonal white line, that means you computer doesn't meet the minimum specs to run SFM.
